PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn. Berhad (PNBMV), a wholly owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Berhad, successfully launched the inaugural Jelajah Warisan KL at Stadium Merdeka, marking the beginning of a citywide initiative to strengthen public engagement with Kuala Lumpur’s cultural and historical heritage.
The programme forms part of the broader Warisan Kuala Lumpur agenda, bringing together government agencies, GLCs, GLICs, heritage partners, and local communities. It aims to deepen appreciation of Kuala Lumpur’s identity while advancing the principles of Ekonomi MADANI, including inclusivity, shared prosperity, and cultural preservation.

As part of the Warisan Kuala Lumpur initiative, Jelajah Warisan KL brings together communities, organisations, and stakeholders to reconnect with the stories that shape the capital city. The journey began at the Merdeka 118 precinct, where the past and present stand side by side in a powerful reflection of Malaysia’s progress.
Participants explored the area through guided walkthroughs, learning about its historical significance while witnessing its transformation into a vibrant urban hub. The experience extended beyond storytelling, with a lively visit to Bazram Merdeka and a meaningful communal buka puasa on the historic grounds

The event also demonstrated the harmonious integration of historic landmarks with modern developments, reflecting the balance between preservation and progress.
The programme was attended by representatives from Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, Jabatan Warisan Negara, Think City Sdn. Bhd., and members of the Warisan KL working committee, alongside community stakeholders within the Merdeka 118 precinct.

Activities included a guided heritage walk, community engagement sessions, and a communal buka puasa, concluding with evening prayers at Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah.
This initiative underscores PNBMV’s continued commitment to preserving Kuala Lumpur’s cultural heritage while fostering vibrant, inclusive communities.
