The nationwide colouring and drawing contest “Happy New Year 2026 with Hock Kee Kopitiam: The Most Joyful Wins” has successfully concluded, uniting 810 young participants across Malaysia in a vibrant celebration of creativity and joy. Beyond a simple art competition, this initiative has been transformed into a meaningful charity platform where winning artworks are featured in an online exhibition on Hock Kee Kopitiam’s official website. In a powerful display of community support, the public is invited to view and purchase these children’s creations, with 100% of the proceeds being donated directly to The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM).

Nick Ng, CEO of Hock Kee Kopitiam, emphasized during the Awards Ceremony that the event was designed to celebrate the heart behind every artwork. By bringing these creations beyond the canvas and into a charitable space, the initiative aims to create a lasting impact for individuals on the autism spectrum. The contest, which ran throughout December 2025, invited children aged 4 to 12 to express their imagination, resulting in a diverse collection of art reflecting Malaysian culture and youthful optimism.
The competition saw 13 winners selected from Group A (ages 4–6) and Group B (ages 7–9), along with 14 winners from Group C (ages 10–12). These talented young creators were chosen by a distinguished panel of judges, including Hock Kee Brand Ambassador Bella Astillah, representatives from Two Creative Art & Design, NASOM board members, and media partners from Oriental Daily and Utusan Malaysia. This comprehensive judging process ensured that the outstanding talent of these young Malaysians was recognized by experts across the creative and community sectors.

Julian Wong, Chairman of NASOM, expressed deep gratitude for the partnership, noting that it provides a tangible way to support the autism community while raising vital public awareness. Every piece of art tells a unique story of how children view the world with honesty and joy. Members of the public can support this cause by purchasing artworks starting from RM50. With outlets spanning across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Perak, and Kelantan, Hock Kee Kopitiam continues to reinforce its commitment to social responsibility, proving that even a child’s simple drawing can inspire meaningful change.
