Mohd Khairuddin Othman “Former Member of the Paya Jaras State Legislative Assembly (DUN) who is also a former Selangor EXco was appointed as the new Director General of the Community Communication Department (J-Kom) replacing Mohammad Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff.
The matter was announced by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Communications, Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa in a congratulatory poster on his Facebook.
“Hopefully J-Kom will continue to empower Madani society with a culture of knowledge, digital skills and patriotic spirit,” he said.
Recently, the Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fadzil chose a candidate for the position which has been finalized and will be announced after the completion of the documentation.
The position of Director General of J-Kom was vacated after the resignation of its incumbent, Dr Mohammad Agus since November last year, who was replaced because he was accused of recording immoral conversations with J-KOM officials.
Agus is now facing an investigation related to allegations of sexual harassment against J-Kom staff, Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani.
The investigation is conducted in accordance with Section 354 of the Penal Code for molestation and Section 377D of the same act for the offense of breach of decency.
