ASUS Unveils ExpertBook Ultra, a 0.99kg Business Laptop Built for the AI Era

As digital transformation accelerates across Malaysia and artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into everyday business operations, the expectations surrounding business laptops continue to evolve. Modern professionals, enterprise leaders, and power users no longer view laptops as simple productivity tools. Instead, they expect devices that can handle advanced workloads, support AI-powered applications, and deliver seamless performance wherever work takes them.

Addressing these changing demands, ASUS officially introduced the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra at Next Enterprise Summit 2026, an event attended by more than 1,000 industry leaders, enterprise partners, and technology experts. The launch marks the device’s debut across key regional markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand.

Designed as a next-generation Copilot+ PC, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra combines exceptional portability with powerful AI computing capabilities. Weighing just 0.99kg and measuring only 10.9mm thin, the laptop is engineered for professionals who require maximum mobility without sacrificing performance.

The device is crafted from aerospace-grade AZ31B magnesium-aluminum alloy using precision CNC machining techniques. ASUS has also applied its Nano Ceramic Technology surface treatment, providing enhanced resistance against scratches and wear while maintaining a premium and sophisticated appearance.

Despite its remarkably lightweight form factor, the ExpertBook Ultra houses a large 70Wh battery capable of delivering up to 26 hours of battery life. Fast-charging technology further enhances mobility, allowing users to gain up to six hours of productivity from just a 15-minute charge.

Powering the laptop is up to the latest Intel Core Ultra X7 Series 3 processor paired with ASUS ExpertCool Pro thermal technology. This advanced cooling system enables the device to sustain up to 50W CPU performance without throttling, ensuring consistent speed and responsiveness even during demanding workloads.

Graphics performance is equally impressive thanks to the integrated Intel Arc B390 GPU. ASUS claims the solution delivers graphics capabilities that can outperform certain NVIDIA RTX 4050 configurations, enabling users to handle tasks such as 4K video editing, complex data visualization, and AI-assisted content creation with ease.

To complement its processing power, the ExpertBook Ultra supports up to 64GB LPDDR5x memory running at 9600 MT/s and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 5 x4 NVMe SSD storage. This high-speed combination ensures rapid application launches, faster file transfers, and efficient handling of large datasets and AI models.

One of the standout features of the device is its 14-inch 3K touchscreen Tandem OLED display. Offering a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and HDR peak brightness of 1,400 nits, the display delivers vibrant visuals, exceptional color accuracy, and smooth responsiveness for both work and entertainment.

The screen is further enhanced with Corning Gorilla Glass Matte technology, significantly reducing reflections and glare while providing a more comfortable viewing experience in various lighting conditions. This makes the laptop particularly suitable for professionals who frequently work on the move.

Multimedia experiences are elevated through a premium six-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system. The setup combines dedicated woofers and tweeters to deliver richer sound, clearer vocals, and more immersive audio whether users are participating in virtual meetings, streaming content, or presenting to clients.

ASUS has also focused heavily on user comfort and productivity. The spill-resistant keyboard features a generous 1.5mm key travel for a more satisfying typing experience, while the precision-engineered haptic touchpad provides responsive and accurate control that may eliminate the need for an external mouse in many situations.

Connectivity remains a strong point, with the ExpertBook Ultra offering a comprehensive selection of ports including Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. The thoughtful placement of ports on both sides of the device ensures greater convenience and flexibility.

Security is another major focus. The laptop incorporates ASUS Security Processor technology, TPM 2.0, Microsoft Pluton, Dual Self-Healing BIOS protection, and compliance with the NIST SP 800-193 security standard. Together, these features provide enterprise-grade protection against modern cyber threats.

Additional security measures include biometric authentication through fingerprint recognition and Windows Hello facial recognition, as well as a physical webcam shield and chassis intrusion detection. These features help safeguard sensitive corporate information while enhancing user privacy.

To support AI-enhanced productivity, ASUS includes its MyExpert AI suite featuring AI ExpertMeet and Knowledge Hub. These tools enable capabilities such as real-time transcription, live translation, and intelligent document search directly on the device without relying on cloud-based processing.

Speaking during the launch event, ASUS Co-CEO S.Y. Hsu described the ExpertBook Ultra as the pinnacle of ASUS engineering and the company’s answer to the future of work. He emphasized that the device was designed without compromise, combining advanced AI performance, premium craftsmanship, and enterprise-level functionality in a single package.

The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is now available in Malaysia with prices starting from RM7,999. Customers can configure the device with specifications tailored to their business requirements through selected ASUS Business Authorized Retailers and the ASUS Official e-Store.

As part of its Premier Launch Reward promotion, customers who purchase the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra between 10 June and 31 July 2026 will receive a complimentary RM500 Malaysia Airlines eGift Card, subject to terms and conditions, adding even greater value for professionals seeking a premium productivity upgrade.
