The International Global Network (IGN) has announced its highly anticipated 2025 lineup of youth-focused events, marking a bold step forward in its mission to foster international collaboration, youth empowerment, and leadership development. The announcement was made during an exclusive press conference at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. The press conference provided a detailed preview of upcoming global conferences that will bring together thousands of young leaders from around the world to engage in meaningful dialogue, share knowledge, and address pressing global challenges.

The event, which was attended by a mix of students, alumni, and senior officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) of Malaysia, highlighted IGN’s growing influence as a platform for promoting youth leadership and cross-cultural cooperation. In his opening remarks, Mr. Muhammad Fahrizal, President of IGN, shared the organization’s unwavering commitment to empowering the youth of today to be the leaders of tomorrow.

“2025 marks a new chapter in our efforts to inspire and equip young people to become leaders who can tackle global issues head-on,” said Mr. Fahrizal. “Through these events, we are creating spaces for young minds to engage, learn, and collaborate with their peers from diverse backgrounds, shaping a generation ready to drive positive change in the world.”

Among the many initiatives announced at the press conference were several major conferences planned for 2025. Among them, the 16th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) and Asia World Model United Nations (AWMUN X), both set to take place in Kuala Lumpur, stand out as the flagship events.

AYIMUN 16th will bring together 1,500–2,000 delegates from over 60 countries to engage in debates, workshops, and networking sessions centered around the theme “Undertaking The Global Politics Dilemma: The Role of Youth to Strengthen Multilateralism.” Participants will have the opportunity to work on finding innovative solutions to global political challenges, with a focus on enhancing multilateral cooperation and diplomacy.

“We believe youth involvement in global governance is crucial to fostering long-term peace and development,” stated Mr. Fahrizal. “AYIMUN 16th will challenge young delegates to confront real-world issues in an environment where their voices can have a meaningful impact on international diplomacy.”

In addition to the events in Malaysia, AWMUN X will take place in Kuala Lumpur, alongside major events in other key cities such as Seoul, Bali, and Bangkok, collectively engaging over 5,000 young delegates from around the world. These conferences will offer extensive opportunities for global youth to practice public speaking, policy-making, and international negotiation—skills that are essential for future leaders.

For the second consecutive year, Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur has solidified its role as a strategic partner in hosting these monumental events. The hotel’s commitment to global youth empowerment was emphasized by Mrs. Tricia Loh, Director of Business Development & Marketing, during the press conference.

“We are honored to collaborate with IGN in their mission to create transformative experiences for young leaders,” said Mrs. Loh. “The hotel’s modern facilities and central location provide an ideal setting for these international conferences. We are excited to continue supporting the success of these events, which align with our vision to contribute to the development of tomorrow’s leaders.”

The hotel’s partnership with IGN underscores Kuala Lumpur’s growing reputation as a hub for international conferences, poised to play a key role in Malaysia’s efforts to promote global dialogue and collaboration during Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

IGN’s impressive track record includes the recent success of the 15th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) in Bangkok, which attracted 700 delegates from 28 countries. The success of the conference further cemented the organization’s status as a leader in youth development, inspiring participants to take active roles in shaping the future of global governance.

“The future of diplomacy and global cooperation lies in the hands of young people. It is vital that we equip them with the tools, knowledge, and networks to navigate complex international challenges,” said Mr. Fahrizal. “As we look ahead to 2025, we are more committed than ever to providing a platform for youth to shape a better, more interconnected world.”

As the events of 2025 approach, the momentum of youth-led initiatives and international cooperation continues to build. IGN’s conferences will undoubtedly offer young delegates the chance to not only shape their own futures but also influence the global landscape through powerful debates, collaborations, and initiatives designed to create lasting solutions for today’s most pressing issues.

For media representatives and prospective delegates interested in learning more about IGN’s upcoming conferences, further details will be shared through official press releases and on the IGN website.
