Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) has unveiled the new HUAWEI WATCH 5, the latest in its acclaimed smartwatch lineup. Continuing a legacy that began in 2015, the WATCH 5 Series combines cutting-edge innovation with sleek, future-forward design, offering both style and functionality in two sizes 42mm and 46mm.
Inspired by the Kármán Line, the WATCH 5 showcases an integrated case design with luxurious material choices including 904L stainless steel, aerospace-grade silver, and 316L stainless steel. New colours such as Sand Gold and Beige (42mm) and Purple (46mm) add a fashionable touch, while the use of spherical sapphire glass ensures durability and clarity. Users can choose from titanium, fluoroelastomer, or the newly introduced composite straps that replicate leather’s texture while being waterproof, stain-resistant, and odour-free.
At the heart of the WATCH 5 is the Multi-sensing X-TAP Technology, which integrates ECG, PPG, and tactile sensors in a single interface, enhancing health monitoring with fingertip precision. With just a 3-second touch, users can access Health Glance, a detailed health report covering 10 vital metrics including HRV, emotional wellbeing, and SpO2 levels. The X-TAP system also delivers highly accurate fingertip blood oxygen readings in under 10 seconds.
The smartwatch enhances daily convenience with intuitive gesture controls like Double Slide and Double Tap, allowing users to manage calls, control music, and activate the camera even with limited screen interaction. It also supports eSIM connectivity, making it a reliable companion for active lifestyles. The dual-mode battery offers up to 4.5 days (46mm) and 3 days (42mm) in Standard Mode, and up to 11 and 7 days respectively in Battery Saver Mode.
