LG Showcases AI-Powered Home Innovations at InnoFest 2026 APAC

LG Electronics (LG) showcased its latest products and region-specific solutions at LG InnoFest 2026 APAC, held in Busan, Korea. The event marked the grand finale of LG’s 2026 InnoFest series, bringing together over 200 key partners and media representatives from around 20 countries across the Asia-Pacific region. It served as a platform to strengthen collaboration while sharing future business strategies. With the theme “Innovation, Forward Together,” LG highlighted innovations tailored to Asian lifestyles.

The exhibition demonstrated how LG applies its K-Tech innovation to create practical solutions that align with local needs. Cultural elements across Asia were reflected in both product design and functionality. This approach underscores LG’s deep understanding of diverse consumer behaviors in the region. It also reinforces the company’s position as a leader in smart home innovation.

LG expanded its clothing care portfolio with a complete WashTower lineup. The introduction of a new 25-inch model is specifically designed for Asian homes that prioritize space efficiency. Existing 24-inch and 27-inch models continue to cater to different household needs. These designs focus on convenience and optimized use of living spaces.

New top-load washing machines are powered by Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive technology, which intelligently adjusts wash motions based on fabric type and soil level. TurboWash 3D enables a full wash cycle in under 30 minutes. An automatic detergent dispenser further enhances convenience by delivering the right amount for each load. Together, these features simplify and improve everyday laundry routines.

LG also strengthened its drying solutions with the introduction of WashCombo, an all-in-one washer-dryer. Equipped with Inverter HeatPump technology, it ensures stable and energy-efficient drying performance. Energy savings remain a key priority for Asian consumers facing rising electricity costs. Additionally, LG expanded its standalone dryer lineup to offer more high-efficiency options.

For commercial use, LG introduced laundry solutions designed for high-frequency and long-hour operations. Backed by over a decade of semi-commercial expertise, these systems include customizable wash programs and open API connectivity. A front-access design ensures easier maintenance and servicing. LG is also preparing to launch a commercial washer-dryer HeatPump combo globally following strong demand in Korea.

In the kitchen category, LG unveiled refrigerators featuring the Fit & Max design with a Zero Clearance Hinge. This allows seamless installation without wasting space, making it ideal for compact kitchens. The advanced ice system offers four ice types to meet diverse usage needs. These include Craft Ice, crushed ice, cubed ice, and Mini Craft options.

LG’s latest dishwasher introduces a one-hour wash-and-dry cycle for faster performance. QuadWash Pro technology uses high-pressure jets and multi-angle spray arms for thorough cleaning. Dynamic Heat Dry+ improves drying efficiency by removing moisture effectively. These appliances also achieve high energy efficiency ratings to meet modern consumer expectations.

For Southeast Asia, LG introduced a tailored built-in kitchen lineup that includes ovens, cooktops, and hoods. One standout innovation is the Camera Oven, which uses an internal camera to recognize ingredients. It recommends optimal cooking modes and monitors food doneness based on surface color. This feature enhances convenience and precision in everyday cooking.

LG also elevated the exhibition experience with interactive live commerce sessions for selected partners. Three distinct zones were created to reflect different Asian home environments. The spatial designs were inspired by popular Korean dramas, offering a familiar and engaging experience. This concept brought a unique storytelling element to the showcase.

Through its AI Home vision, LG demonstrated how connected technologies can enhance daily living. The ThinQ ON platform acts as a central hub, linking AI-powered appliances and IoT devices. This creates a seamless and intuitive smart home ecosystem. The rollout will expand gradually across Asia, including markets like Australia and Thailand.

As part of its long-term strategy, LG is expanding its LG Subscribe service across Asia. This subscription model offers flexible access to home appliances along with comprehensive maintenance support. Key markets include Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, and Vietnam. The initiative reflects LG’s commitment to delivering holistic solutions beyond just products.

According to Jaeseung Kim, Regional CEO of LG Electronics Asia Pacific, Asia remains one of the company’s most dynamic and important markets. He emphasized that InnoFest 2026 provides a valuable platform to connect with partners and share future visions. LG will continue advancing AI-powered solutions tailored to local lifestyles. This strategy is expected to accelerate smart home adoption across the region.
