BAC Education Group and ZICO Trust Malaysia Launch Scholarship Programme Worth Over RM160,000

BAC Education Group and ZICO Trust (M) Berhad have joined forces to expand access to tertiary education through a new scholarship programme designed to support aspiring students in building professional careers.

The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony, marking a shared commitment by both organisations to create greater educational opportunities and develop industry-ready talents.

Through the scholarship initiative, ZICO Trust Malaysia will sponsor tuition fees for 10 selected students pursuing degree programmes in law, accounting and finance, and business administration. The total sponsorship value exceeds RM160,000 annually.

The scholarship will cover the full three-year duration of the students’ respective programmes, providing financial support for recipients throughout their academic journey.

The selected recipients include six students pursuing Bachelor of Laws degrees under the University of London International Programme through BAC in Malaysia, two students pursuing Bachelor of Accounting and Finance degrees at Veritas University College, and two students undertaking Bachelor of Business Administration degrees through Veritas University College’s open and distance learning programme.

The programme is targeted at students from B40 backgrounds who demonstrate strong academic performance and maintain good disciplinary records throughout their studies.

Upon graduation, scholarship recipients will also have the opportunity to gain professional experience through a one-year employment bond with ZICO Trust Malaysia.

The MOU was signed by Raja Singham, Co-Founder and Chief Future Officer of BAC Education Group, and Tan Sri Datuk Seri (Dr) Haji Mazlan Lazim, Chairman of ZICO Trust (M) Berhad, with Prof. Dr Amer Hamzah Jantan, Chief Executive of Veritas University College, and Mr Chew Seng Kok, Executive Director of ZICO Trust (M) Berhad, serving as witnesses.

Raja Singham said the collaboration reflects BAC’s belief that education should go beyond academic qualifications by preparing students with the adaptability, knowledge and skills needed for an evolving professional environment.

He added that students today need to be prepared for a rapidly changing world, especially as technology and artificial intelligence continue transforming the way people learn, work and make decisions.

Tan Sri Datuk Seri (Dr) Haji Mazlan Lazim shared that financial challenges should not prevent deserving students from pursuing quality education and achieving their ambitions.

Through the partnership, ZICO Trust Malaysia aims to provide meaningful support for students while creating pathways for professional growth and career development after graduation.

The collaboration between BAC Education Group and ZICO Trust Malaysia highlights the importance of education accessibility in developing future professionals and strengthening Malaysia’s talent ecosystem.
