Malaysian Healthcare Group MEDIWIRA Targets 100 Outlets in Rapid Expansion Shift

In a major expansion move, healthcare provider i-Sihat Group has rebranded as Mediwira Group and announced a strategic target to reach 100 outlets nationwide by 2030. Driven by Malaysia’s rising healthcare demand, with the national medical sector projected to hit USD 30 billion by 2027, the group is accelerating its network from 21 to at least 25 outlets by the end of this year alone.

The announcement was made during Mediwira’s official brand unveiling in Johor, which coincided with the launch of a new medical clinic in the state and an upcoming medispa opening next month. The group’s current footprint spans the Klang Valley, Johor, and Sabah, encompassing 12 dental clinics, 7 medical clinics, and 2 medispa outlets. Founded in 2012 by doctors Nandagobala, Ratna, Mok Chi Chien, and Lavan, the group offers a comprehensive, “one-stop” clinical solution that has already served over half a million patients.

Attending the launch, YB Tuan Hassan Abdul Karim, Member of Parliament for Pasir Gudang, emphasized the importance of private primary care. “The private clinic space has become increasingly vital,” YB Tuan Hassan said. “It bridges the gap between the public healthcare system and the upper tiers of healthcare specialists. It is here that I believe Mediwira will contribute significantly.”

Alongside its commercial growth, the group launched its ‘Food Aid’ CSR initiative, which distributed RM120 worth of essential items to 15 underserved families at the event, establishing a monthly commitment to aid at least 10 families.

“We chose the name Mediwira to symbolize our commitment as healthcare heroes,” said partner Dr. Nanda. “Our half a million patients represent half a million times a patient has trusted us. When you walk into any Mediwira clinic, you’re walking into a family.” Moving forward, Mediwira Group is actively seeking strategic partnerships and corporate collaborations to fuel its multi-state expansion shift.
