Epson Malaysia has officially announced the launch of the Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B, its newest all-in-one home entertainment solution designed for consumers seeking an expansive viewing experience without sacrificing living space. Featuring an ultra-short-throw design, the projector sits just inches away from the wall to deliver an adjustable 80- to 150-inch display eliminating the need for mounting massive television panels or running cables for traditional long-throw ceiling projectors across the room.
At the optical level, the EH-LS970B boasts an ultra-short throw ratio of 0.16, creating a 120-inch display from roughly 17.3 cm away from the projection surface. Powered by Epson’s proprietary 3LCD laser projection system, it achieves up to 4,000 lumens of both color and white brightness with a dynamic contrast ratio exceeding 5,000,000:1. Delivering a native on-screen 4K picture composed of 8.3 million pixels, the system ensures vibrant, razor-sharp imagery even in ambient-lit living rooms during movies, sports broadcasts, and gaming sessions.
Visual performance is driven by a new AI-powered TV processing chip that evaluates and refines content in real time. Features such as AI Super Resolution and AI Picture Quality dynamically adjust scene sharpness, contrast, and color balance to match on-screen media. Supporting technologies including Dynamic Colour Booster, Local Contrast, and De-contour Processing further eliminate banding and artifacts to yield smooth color transitions and lifelike depth.
To complete the cinematic package, the EH-LS970B integrates a 20W 2.1-channel Sound by Bose speaker system, providing room-filling acoustics and rich bass without the clutter of external soundbars or subwoofers. When the display is off, the projector doubles as a standalone music hub via Bluetooth Speaker Mode. Running on Google TV™ with built-in Google Cast and voice commands, the projector offers immediate access to popular streaming platforms including Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube. With setup streamlined by the camera-assisted Epson Setting Assistant app and a maintenance-free laser light engine rated for up to 20,000 hours, the Epson Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B is now officially available in Malaysia.
