DJI Malaysia has officially announced a strategic partnership with Sepang International Circuit (SIC) as its Official Action Camera Partner. This high-profile collaboration unites DJI’s creative imaging technology with the high-octane energy of motorsport, providing fans and content creators with dynamic new ways to capture every memorable moment across the circuit.
Alongside the announcement, DJI introduced its latest camera, the DJI Osmo 360 II. Engineered to capture the entire environment in a single recording, the device lets creators reframe and select their preferred angles in post-production. This flexibility allows users to seamlessly incorporate themselves, the track action, and the surrounding crowd into a unified story without being restricted to a fixed angle while filming.
Built to keep pace with extreme speed and shifting track lighting throughout a race weekend, the DJI Osmo 360 II features a 1-inch square HDR sensor capable of recording native 8K/60fps 360° video with up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range. Low-light shooting is reinforced by AI SuperNight 2.0 technology, supported by 105 GB of internal storage and durable, replaceable lenses designed to withstand an entire day of continuous shooting at the track.
The camera also streamlines post-production workflows with intelligent features like Spotlight Follow, which keeps the subject centered, and Dual Recording, which captures both the creator and the scene from the same take. Creators can also utilize advanced shooting presets, including 4K/240fps 360° slow motion, 16K 360° Timelapse, and 8K/120fps Vortex, to translate high-speed action into compelling visual stories.
To mark the collaboration, DJI Malaysia is hosting a limited-time giveaway for customers purchasing selected DJI Osmo models between 18 and 27 September 2026. Eligible buyers stand a chance to win tickets to the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026, scheduled for 2 to 4 October 2026 at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit.
