KUALA LUMPUR, 26 MARCH 2026 – The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has officially announced Macao as the International Favourite Destination for the upcoming MATTA Fair April 2026. Scheduled from 3 to 5 April 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), the event continues to reinforce its standing as Malaysia’s largest consumer travel fair, offering visitors access to a wide array of global travel opportunities while supporting industry growth.
Now in its 58th edition, MATTA Fair will span 40,820 square metres across 10 halls, featuring 2,043 booths from 330 organisations. Visitors can explore offerings from 210 travel agencies, alongside participation from National Tourism Organisations, State Tourism Organisations, hotels, resorts, and theme parks. The event serves as a comprehensive hub for travellers seeking curated packages and unique experiences.
The inclusion of Macao reflects strong tourism recovery trends, with the destination recording 3.65 million arrivals in January 2026 and a notable increase in Malaysian visitors. As Malaysia targets up to 47 million international arrivals under Visit Malaysia 2026, MATTA Fair plays a vital role in driving outbound and inbound tourism momentum.
