In Langkawi, two new BMW I Charging facilities have been unveiled by Tian Siang Premium Auto and BMW Group Malaysia.

A prestigious manufacturer increases the viability of electric driving in the tropical paradise of Langkawi with the installation of new charging stations at the five-star beach resort The Datai Langkawi. BMW Group Malaysia and Tian Siang Premium Auto today unveiled two new BMW I Charging stations at The Datai Langkawi, increasing the number of charging infrastructures on the island.

Sashi Ambi, Head of Corporate Communications of BMW Group Malaysia said, “BMW Group Malaysia has always believed that sustainability is a shared responsibility. As we continue to realise our vision of carbon-neutral mobility in Malaysia through our premium fully electric BMW i vehicles and the expansion of our comprehensive BMW i Charging network, we are pleased to collaborate with likeminded partners, such as The Datai Langkawi – alongside our dealer, Tian Siang Premium Auto. This partnership underlines our commitment to providing a Premium Electric Ownership Experience to all electric vehicle (EV) owners across the country – an experience that exemplifies sustainable luxury and is in tandem with our national agenda for electrification in Malaysia.”

Tan Ka Kin, Managing Director of Tian Siang Premium Auto said, “With the new BMW i Charging facilities introduced today, we are thrilled to be powering a total of 12 premium charging facilities across the northern regions of Malaysia – bringing greater access to electromobility in major locations outside the Klang Valley. This gives us confidence that interest for EVs in these regions will continue to rise as we work to present Sheer Electric Driving Pleasure to our customers here.”

“Sustainability and conservation are at the core of our business strategy, and we integrate these values into all aspects of our company ethos, operations, and guest experiences at the resort. Offering this BMW i Charging station to our guests is just one of our many efforts in moving towards cleaner air and regenerative travel, to reaffirm our commitment to protecting the rich biodiversity of Langkawi for generations to come”, stated Arnaud Girodon, General Manager of The Datai Langkawi.

To further accelerate the adoption of electromobility on the island, guests of The Datai Langkawi are also invited to experience the BMW iX through a limited-time test drive opportunity. The two new BMW i charging facilities are also conveniently located at the entrance of the beach resort, accessible for guests.
