BYD ATTO 3 Hits 1,000 Bookings in 10 Days as 2026 Model Debuts Strong in Malaysi

The 2026 BYD ATTO 3 has made a powerful entrance into the Malaysian electric vehicle market, recording more than 1,000 bookings within just 10 days of its official launch on 5 June 2026. The milestone reflects strong consumer confidence and continued demand for the model, which has quickly established itself as one of the most sought-after EVs in the country.

This achievement also mirrors its original success in 2022, when the BYD ATTO 3 first entered Malaysia and reached the same 1,000-booking milestone within a similar timeframe. The repeat performance highlights the sustained popularity of the model and its strong resonance with Malaysian drivers over the years.

Following its unveiling at Sime Motors MotorExpo 2026, Malaysia became the first market in the Asia Pacific region to introduce the 2026 BYD ATTO 3. The latest version carries the tagline “Faster, Further, Smarter,” reflecting significant upgrades in performance, efficiency, and technology.

The 2026 BYD ATTO 3 showcases a refreshed exterior design with updated styling elements, delivering a more dynamic and contemporary road presence.

Among the key enhancements is the premium rear-wheel-drive variant, which delivers acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. The model also supports fast charging of up to 220 kW and offers a driving range of up to 600 km, alongside improved safety systems and intelligent driving features designed for everyday usability.

The strong booking momentum highlights the growing interest in electric vehicles among Malaysian consumers, especially for models that balance innovation, practicality, and value. With more than 12,000 units already delivered, the BYD ATTO 3 remains Malaysia’s all-time best-selling EV, reinforcing its leadership position in the market.

In celebration of the milestone, BYD Sime Motors marked the 1,000th customer at a special event held at its BYD Bandar Utama outlet in Klang Valley. The occasion echoed the brand’s original 2022 achievement, symbolising the continued journey and strong connection between the model and Malaysian customers.

According to BYD Malaysia Managing Director Jacob Ma, the response reflects the evolving expectations of today’s motorists, who prioritise advanced technology, convenience, and practicality in their vehicles.
