Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of its Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature on the Samsung Health Monitor app, now available in Malaysia. This innovative tool enhances the existing ECG and Blood Pressure monitoring capabilities of the app, allowing Galaxy Watch users to gain deeper insights into their heart health.
The IHRN feature actively monitors users’ heart rhythms, detecting potential signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib) in real time. By providing alerts for irregular heart rhythms, the feature empowers users to take proactive steps toward understanding and managing their cardiovascular health. This addition complements the app’s existing functionalities, including on-demand ECG tracking and blood pressure measurements.
Since its debut in 2020, the Samsung Health Monitor app has successfully expanded to 74 markets worldwide, with over 15 million Galaxy Watch users relying on it for monitoring their heart health from their wrists. The app’s continuous tracking capabilities allow users to keep a close eye on their blood pressure and heart rhythms, facilitating informed health decisions.
