Open-ear earbuds have long struggled with call performance because their unsealed design leaves external microphones fully exposed to ambient noise, forcing speech and background chatter to compete in the exact same air channel.
Anker Innovations directly tackles this acoustic bottleneck with the Anker soundcore AeroClip 2, introducing a six-sensor hybrid system that combines four high-SNR MEMS microphones with two specialized Voice Pickup Units (VPUs). By capturing mechanical vibrations directly from the wearer’s vocal cords through physical contact, the earbuds isolate pure vocal patterns that remain completely untouched by ambient environmental noise.
To process these disparate audio streams in real time, the AeroClip 2 incorporates Anker’s proprietary THUS™ AI processor. Utilizing a neuromorphic NOR Flash compute-in-memory (CIM) architecture, the chip executes neural network calculations directly inside memory cells, bypassing the massive power draw of conventional processors while delivering roughly 150 times the AI computing power of the previous generation. This low-power computational muscle drives features like Whisper Mode, keeping calls completely intelligible in ambient noise exceeding 80 dB and earned the device an official Guinness World Records title for the highest measured speech quality score in open-ear clip-on earbuds.
Beyond vocal clarity, the AeroClip 2 delivers an ergonomic and versatile audio experience tailored for all-day wear. The lightweight C-bridge design, refined using over 2,000 3D ear scans and flexible titanium wire, ensures secure retention without pressure points alongside an IP57 water resistance rating. Equipped with 12 mm dual-magnetic drivers, LDAC high-resolution streaming, up to 32 hours of battery life with wireless charging, and an onboard Phone-Free Mode for standalone playback, the AeroClip 2 is available in Malaysia for RM729 across four colors: Midnight Black, Burgundy Red, Cloud White, and Mist Blue.
