Following the exciting finale of Malaysia’s “TikTok LIVE X Astro #GimmeTheMic Malaysia” in September, we are thrilled to announce that our talented top six finalists have successfully advanced to the semi-finals of the highly anticipated #GimmeTheMic 2024 Global competition. Here, they will showcase their musical prowess alongside other live music creators from around the world, singing their hearts out in a fierce and passionate display of talent.
Among these finalists, Syaffiq Sahli has emerged as a standout competitor, currently ranking 2nd in points and positioning himself as a formidable global contender. The remaining five finalists are equally gifted, each given the opportunity to continue their journey toward fame in the semi-finals. This significant achievement not only highlights Malaysia’s rich musical talent but also underscores its growing influence on the global music scene.
#GimmeTheMic, TikTok LIVE’s global talent show, returns in 2024 with a renewed focus on music, continuing its mission to spotlight creators from around the world. This year’s competition emphasizes the music vertical, reinforcing the platform’s strategy to cultivate and empower user-generated content while enhancing the growth of music creators and engaging talent show hosts. More than just a talent show, #GimmeTheMic serves as a vibrant celebration of creativity and community, encouraging users worldwide to participate through dynamic performances, interactive contests, and collaborative efforts.
The global semi-finals for #GimmeTheMic 2024 are set to take place on the 23rd and 24th of October, featuring 40 contestants from the Winner Group. Each live show will spotlight four contestants, who will each have five minutes to perform in a multi-guest hosted session streamed through the official TikTok LIVE account (@tiktoklive_creator). From each live show, the top two contestants will secure direct advancement to the Global Finale, which will be announced after the semi-finals. This leads to a total of 20 contestants competing for the final title.
Additionally, the Revival Group offers a chance for other creators to compete for entry into the Global Finale based on their leaderboard scores, with the top five from this group also earning their spots. The stakes are high, as the top three winners of #GimmeTheMic 2024 will receive coveted recording deals, opportunities to release an original song, and the chance to shoot a music video. They will also gain significant exposure through features on TikTok’s official LIVE account, thereby building a global fanbase. To commemorate their achievements, each of the top three winners will receive an official trophy, marking their recognition in this prestigious competition.
