At the April 2026 MATTA Fair, the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) formalized a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PMJ AI Sdn Bhd, the technological force behind the MyTravelKaki platform.
This collaboration serves as a testament to MATTA’s ongoing dedication to spearheading digital transformation within the tourism sector. The primary goal is to bolster the online visibility and accessibility of travel packages curated by its members, significantly increasing their digital booking potential. Central to this agreement is a joint exploration into a robust digital booking ecosystem, which includes the creation of a specialized mobile application. This app is intended to facilitate the effortless promotion and reservation of travel services while simultaneously enhancing the digital marketing proficiency and technological uptake among MATTA’s diverse membership.

During the official signing event, MATTA President Nigel Wong emphasized that the partnership highlights the association’s drive for innovation. He noted that the initiative is designed to assist members in navigating an increasingly digitized travel market, refining the distribution of travel products and ensuring a more integrated, accessible experience for the modern consumer.

Sharing this vision, Justin Tang, Chief Technology Officer, voiced his excitement regarding the alliance. He pointed out that MyTravelKaki was developed specifically to equip travel enterprises with sophisticated digital resources while elevating the journey for the end-user. According to Tang, this synergy will speed up the delivery of a comprehensive, intuitive ecosystem that bridges the gap between travelers and MATTA members.
According to the terms of the MOU, MATTA will contribute its deep industry knowledge and support to drive the platform’s adoption and growth. Conversely, PMJ AI Sdn Bhd will be responsible for the end-to-end design, technical development, and operational management of the digital framework. Ultimately, this partnership is poised to fortify Malaysia’s digital tourism landscape, ensuring the industry remains future-proof and competitive on a global scale.
