HONOR is bringing the future of robotics to Malaysia with its self-developed humanoid robots, HONOR Robotics A1 and D1, as part of this year’s National Day celebrations.
The two humanoid robots will make their international debut at the Malaysia Marathon 2026 on 30 August 2026 before joining the National Day Parade in Putrajaya on 31 August 2026.
Malaysia will be the first country outside China to witness HONOR’s humanoid robots in action. This follows D1’s achievement at the 2nd Beijing E Town Humanoid Robot Half Marathon in April, where it demonstrated advanced mobility and endurance beyond the laboratory.
At the Malaysia Marathon 2026, D1 will take part in the 10KM category, starting from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at 12:00 AM. Meanwhile, A1 will join the 5KM category alongside Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, with the race starting from Kuala Lumpur City Centre at 7:30 AM.
Members of the public can also get up close with both humanoid robots at HONOR booths at KLCC and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from 29 to 30 August 2026. Visitors will have the opportunity to take photos with the robots and experience interactive activities featuring HONOR’s latest devices.
The activities include the HONOR Magic V6 Strongman Challenge, which tests the device’s hinge durability through a 60 second pull up bar challenge. Visitors can also experience the HONOR X9d Screen Durability and Water Resistance Challenge.
Visitors who follow HONOR Malaysia’s official social media channels can also receive a complimentary photo print featuring a customised National Day themed frame, while stocks last.
Following the Malaysia Marathon 2026, A1 and D1 will appear at Dataran Putrajaya on 31 August 2026 to join the National Day Parade.
This also marks HONOR’s first appearance as a parade contingent and makes it the first smartphone brand to participate in the country’s National Day celebrations.
