vivo Malaysia has announced the “Shoot Beyond What You See” Challenge, a nationwide photography challenge taking place from 3 to 31 August in conjunction with Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka celebration.
Merdeka Month is a time for Malaysians to come together to celebrate the nation’s rich diversity, heritage and shared identity.
Powered by the vivo X300 Ultra and the vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, the challenge transforms the smartphone’s advanced imaging capabilities into a real-world photography experience.
The vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra offers focal lengths ranging from 400mm to 8100mm, enabling users to photograph iconic landmarks from remarkable distances while showcasing its powerful telephoto capabilities through a Merdeka celebration that inspires Malaysians to see familiar landmarks in a whole new way.

Participants are invited to visit a location of their choice, capture a photograph of a well-known Malaysian landmark from afar, and share their perspective on social media using the hashtag #MyPerspectiveofMY while tagging the location where the photo was taken.
In the spirit of “One Malaysia”, vivo Malaysia encourages participants to showcase the many perspectives that make Malaysia uniquely ours. The challenge invites Malaysians to look beyond the usual angle and rediscover the country’s iconic landmarks, from capturing the PETRONAS Twin Towers and Genting Highlands in a single frame to photographing Merdeka 118 from a distant location.
