KUALA LUMPUR, August 2026 – Shopping for Midea home appliances is about to become much more convenient as the brand joins forces with 99 Speed Mart. Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Midea is bringing a selection of its popular home appliances closer to consumers through Malaysia’s largest mini market chain.
The agreement was signed by Midea Malaysia Managing Director Mark Tam and 99 Speed Mart Chief Operating Officer Yong Eng Kwang. Witnessing the ceremony were Midea Group Asia Pacific Region President Zeal Jiang and 99 Speed Mart Executive Director and CEO Lee Thiam Wah.
For Midea, the partnership is another milestone as the company continues expanding its presence across Malaysia. Following the launch of 18 Midea Brand Stores nationwide, the collaboration with 99 Speed Mart allows the brand to connect with even more consumers through a retail network that reaches neighbourhoods across the country.
According to Mark Tam, the partnership is all about making everyday shopping easier. Consumers can now find products such as blenders, rice cookers, electric kettles, fans, toasters, vacuum cleaners and stoves at locations they already visit regularly, giving them more flexibility when shopping for home appliances.
Lee Thiam Wah said the collaboration also opens a new chapter for 99 Speed Mart by adding quality home appliances to its growing product selection. As more Malaysians look for practical and reliable products, the retailer aims to offer greater convenience through its nationwide store network.
The collaboration also ties into Midea’s regional “Power of One” strategy, introduced during its Asia Pacific Dealer Conference in Bali. The initiative focuses on combining innovation, stronger retail presence and improved customer experience to support the company’s long-term growth across the region.
Beginning August 2026, selected Midea small home appliances will be available at 99 Speed Mart outlets nationwide, including blenders, kettles, rice cookers, fans, toasters, toaster ovens, stick vacuums and stainless steel stoves.
