Warah Sendayu Resources Sdn Bhd (WSR), together with Wawasanita Malaysia, has successfully completed a strategic business mission to Hong Kong, marking another significant step in promoting Malaysian brands and strengthening their presence in international markets.
The delegation was led by Wawasanita Malaysia President, Datin Dr. Norli Hj. Alias, alongside Warah Sendayu Resources Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kumares Chandra Kumar. They were accompanied by the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Vikram Chandra Kumar.
A key highlight of the mission was a courtesy visit to the MATRADE Hong Kong office, where the delegation met with Trade Commissioner Ms. Intan Zalani. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on export development, international trade collaboration, and strategies to improve market access for Malaysian products.
Speaking during the engagement, Mr. Kumares Chandra Kumar emphasised the importance of building strong partnerships to accelerate the international growth of Malaysian businesses.
“Malaysia has immense potential to become a leading exporter of innovative health, wellness, and consumer products. Through close collaboration with organisations such as MATRADE and Wawasanita, Malaysian companies can unlock new markets, establish meaningful partnerships, and contribute to the nation’s economic development,” he said.
Datin Dr. Norli Hj. Alias highlighted Malaysia’s growing pool of capable entrepreneurs and high-quality products, expressing confidence that stronger international collaborations would help local businesses achieve greater global recognition.
She noted that the Hong Kong mission reflects a shared commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, enhancing economic growth, and showcasing the excellence of Malaysian-made products on the world stage.
The delegation also expressed appreciation to Ms. Intan Zalani and the MATRADE Hong Kong team for their hospitality, guidance, and continued support in facilitating international business opportunities.
WSR and Wawasanita further acknowledged the Malaysia MADANI Government, MATRADE leadership, and all strategic stakeholders whose continued support has contributed to the internationalisation of Malaysian enterprises.
The successful mission reinforces both organisations’ commitment to expanding Malaysia’s global business footprint, fostering cross-border collaborations, and creating new opportunities for Malaysian brands in overseas markets.
