Mojo Projects returns this year with a spectacular double bill celebrating the enduring legacy of Indian music. It begins with the legendary Padma Bhushan K.S. Chithra Live with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) on 29 November 2025, followed by Meendum SPB 2.0, a moving tribute to S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on 6 December 2025.
In a historic first, K.S. Chithra, fondly known as The Nightingale of South India, will headline Malaysia’s first Indian orchestral performance at DFP. Presented by Mojo Projects in collaboration with the MPO, this milestone event marks the first time an Indian artist takes the spotlight with Malaysia’s most prestigious symphony orchestra.

Accompanied by vocalists Madhu Balakrishnan, Sathyaprakash, and Anamika P.S., and led by conductor Gerard Salonga, the concert will feature orchestral renditions of timeless works by world-renowned composers, including Chithra’s well-known film songs Kannalane and Malargale. With over 25,000 recordings across several languages and a career spanning more than four decades, Chithra remains one of India’s most respected and enduring playback singers.
The celebrations continue a week later with Meendum SPB 2.0, returning by overwhelming demand. The concert honours the incomparable S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, whose voice defined an era of Indian music. Taking the stage will be S.P. Charan, Vijay Prakash, Saindhavi, Anand Aravindakshan, and Priyanka, as they revisit beloved hits and revive the emotion of a man whose music continues to live on in millions of hearts.
“At Mojo Projects, every show is built on a deeper purpose: to protect and promote legacy,” said Ratna K. Nadarajan, CEO and Founder of Mojo Projects. “This season represents a defining moment for Indian music in Malaysia. Having K.S. Chithra perform with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, followed by the return of Meendum SPB 2.0, celebrates the voices that shaped generations and connects them to a global stage. Our vision is to keep reimagining how heritage can live, breathe, and inspire through world-class performances.”
From orchestral grandeur to soulful remembrance, Mojo Projects continues to redefine Malaysia’s live entertainment landscape, bridging cultures, generations, and genres through performances that move both heart and history.
