KUALA LUMPUR, 25 June 2025 – Toshiba Sales & Services Sdn. Bhd. has launched its latest innovation, the NaturePURE Series 820L Refrigerator, which has been officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest-capacity refrigerator in the Asia Pacific region. This launch marks a special moment as the company celebrates its 95th anniversary, showing its strong commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction over the years.
According to Mr. Steven Yang, Managing Director of Toshiba Sales & Services Sdn. Bhd., Toshiba aims to grow by 25% this year compared to 2024, driven by increasing demand for modern and advanced home appliances. Toshiba continues to perform well in Malaysia, with a 16.7% market share in refrigerators and 13.6% in washing machines, both ranked second, and 10.5% in microwave ovens, ranked fifth. These results show that more Malaysians are choosing Toshiba for energy-saving, smart, and user-friendly products. In the Asia Pacific region, the brand remains strong, especially in Thailand and its home country, Japan.
To reach more customers, Toshiba has expanded its retail presence. After opening its first brand store in Kuala Lumpur in 2024, the company now operates 14 brand stores across Malaysia and plans to open one flagship store along with 50 Shop-in-Shop (SIS) outlets by the end of 2025.

The NaturePURE 820L Refrigerator is designed for large or multi-generational families, offering spacious and well-organised storage. It is the first in the region with a four-door, side-by-side design and over 820 litres of capacity. The fridge uses advanced technology to keep food fresh and safe, such as the PureAIR Sterilization System that removes 99.99% of bacteria and 99% of odours, and the PureAIR Turbo Mode that works three times faster ideal for strong-smelling dishes. It also features the Pure ICE 3-Level System for clean and odourless ice, and a Magic 2 Sizes Ice Maker that can produce both cubed and half cubed ice up to 2kg in just 95 minutes. The refrigerator uses the eco-friendly R290 refrigerant, which cools faster and is better for the environment.
Looking to the future, Toshiba will continue expanding its Japandi Series, which combines Japanese craftsmanship with Scandinavian design. After launching the first Japandi-style refrigerator in 2024, Toshiba plans to introduce the same elegant and practical design to other home appliances like dishwashers and water purifiers, bringing smart and beautiful solutions to modern Malaysian homes. – Tehtariktimes
