Midea Sets National Record with Launch of 18 Brand Stores Across Malaysia

Midea Malaysia reached a major milestone with the simultaneous launch of 18 Midea brand stores across the country, an achievement recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records under the category “Most Electrical Appliance Outlets Launching In An Event.” This nationwide rollout includes 15 new Midea brand stores, two Midea Pro-Shops and a Kuala Lumpur showroom featuring an updated signboard, marking a significant expansion of the company’s retail presence. The move represents a rapid transformation of Midea’s physical footprint in Malaysia, growing from zero to 18 stores in a single coordinated launch.

According to Mark Tam, Managing Director of Midea Malaysia, launching 18 stores at once signifies more than market expansion. It reshapes how customers experience the brand by offering more access points across the country. With these stores, Malaysians can engage directly with Midea’s smart home products, receive expert guidance and enjoy improved after-sales support. He added that this development strengthens Midea’s competitive position in Malaysia’s home appliance sector and enhances customer trust as the brand continues to position itself as the preferred partner for smart home solutions.

Alongside the nationwide launch, Midea unveiled its new SMART MASTER series, a collection of AI-powered and IoT-enabled home appliances designed to elevate the connected home experience. This series integrates intelligent technologies that analyse user behaviour, adjust performance automatically and respond with greater precision through advanced sensors and machine learning capabilities. The initiative aligns with Midea’s vision of introducing more intuitive and user-focused innovations into modern homes.

The launch event took place simultaneously across all participating locations in Malaysia. Each store revealed its new storefront signboard at the exact same moment during a nation-synced countdown, which was broadcast live across all outlets and streamed on Midea Malaysia’s Facebook page. The event also featured an introduction of the 18 store owners, a preview video of the SMART MASTER series and a keynote address by Mark Tam. Plaque presentations were then carried out for all stores outside Kuala Lumpur, followed by the official handover of the Malaysia Book of Records certificate to commemorate the milestone.

In addition to SMART MASTER, Midea showcased other new innovations including the Avigator series, Insta-Fit Master series, Laundry Suite, L-Shaped Cooker Hood MCH-90XS38 with RFID technology, Built-In Gas Hob MGH-2590GL with RFID, the Robotic Vacuum Cleaner V12 and the Bladeless Fan. These products highlight Midea’s commitment to building a complete smart home ecosystem through IoT connectivity, RFID integration, Wi-Fi-enabled automation and energy-efficient engineering. The brand aims to create a home environment that operates seamlessly, adapts to user needs in real time and reduces long-term energy consumption.
