From October 14 to 18, Huawei is showcasing its latest innovations in digital and intelligent transformation at GITEX GLOBAL 2024, one of the world’s largest and most influential technology exhibitions. With the theme “Accelerate Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence,” Huawei, a Diamond Sponsor of the event, has introduced a series of joint solutions and flagship products aimed at transforming industries such as public utilities, transportation, finance, electric power, oil and gas, mining, retail, education, and healthcare.

At the forefront of this initiative in GITEX GLOBAL 2024, Huawei hosted the Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit, where it unveiled its latest products and solutions aimed at helping enterprises accelerate their journey toward digital transformation and greater intelligence.

Li Peng, Corporate Senior Vice President and President of ICT Sales & Service at Huawei, emphasized the company’s relentless focus on innovation to support both its customers and local partners. “We are combining our strengths in networking, storage, computing, cloud, and energy,” said Li Peng during his opening remarks. He also highlighted how Huawei collaborates with industry partners to build the digital infrastructure needed for this transformation.

Last year, Huawei introduced a reference architecture to guide industries through intelligent transformation. This year, the company built on that momentum by launching a series of solutions tailored for various industries including government, finance, transportation, manufacturing, oil and gas, and more. Over 100 case studies have been compiled, offering real-world examples of how industries can leverage Huawei’s solutions to advance their digitalization efforts.

Li Peng also underlined the importance of collaboration and ecosystem development. “At Huawei, we are committed to fostering a healthy, open, and mutually beneficial partner ecosystem,” he noted. To date, Huawei has established 14 OpenLabs globally, fostering innovation with local solution providers. In the UAE alone, Huawei has collaborated with more than 30 solution partners to develop over 20 customized solutions tailored to local market needs.

Leo Chen, Corporate Senior Vice President and President of Enterprise Sales at Huawei, delivered a keynote speech at the summit, where he emphasized the role of cutting-edge technologies such as AI and 5G-A in driving the fourth industrial revolution. This wave of transformation is expected to lead to unprecedented productivity gains across various sectors. However, Chen also noted the challenges that come with this transformation, including gaps in infrastructure, industrial applications, and talent ecosystems.

To address these challenges, Huawei is leveraging its comprehensive portfolio, which includes solutions in connectivity, storage, computing, and cloud. The company aims to build AI-ready infrastructure across industries, helping businesses overcome pain points through advanced technology.

Huawei also unveiled its “Amplifying Industrial Digitalization & Intelligence Practice” white paper, which includes over 100 success stories from more than 20 industries. These stories provide valuable insights and guidance for businesses looking to embark on their own digital transformation journey.

David Shi, Vice President of ICT Marketing and Solution Sales at Huawei, focused on the importance of robust ICT infrastructure for the success of digital and intelligent transformation. He stressed two critical goals: accelerating the popularization of ICT infrastructure and accelerating monetization.

Huawei has identified four principles to streamline the adoption of ICT infrastructure: ease of integration, access, use, and evolution. This approach ensures that businesses can seamlessly incorporate digital infrastructure into their operations, making it more adaptable to evolving business needs. Huawei’s solutions are designed to be versatile, catering to industries such as education, healthcare, retail, and mining.

By accelerating monetization, Huawei aims to help businesses unlock new revenue streams through digital technologies, while fostering a collaborative partner ecosystem. This ecosystem will empower enterprises to innovate faster and build sustainable growth models in the digital age.

Huawei’s “SHAPE” framework is central to its strategy of enabling its partners. The framework focuses on five key areas: sustaining leadership, driving joint innovation, advancing partner capabilities, promoting partner cooperation, and expanding partner growth opportunities.

Ernest Zhang, President of Global Partner and Commercial & Distribution for Enterprise Sales at Huawei, emphasized the company’s commitment to building a customer-centric culture. Huawei is working closely with partners to create a collaborative ecosystem that benefits all stakeholders. This approach is helping customers across different industries to accelerate their digital and intelligent transformation.
