In a significant move for Malaysia’s vibrant food and beverage landscape, two iconic homegrown brands, Hock Kee Kopitiam and D.MasKing by DSR Taiko Berhad, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate premium Musang King durians into the traditional kopitiam experience. This collaboration represents a unique fusion of heritage and modern retail, connecting the lush orchards of Raub, Pahang, directly to the tables of city dwellers. By marrying the “King of Fruits” with staple kopitiam favorites, the partnership aims to elevate local food culture while ensuring the highest standards of authenticity and quality.

The centerpiece of this alliance is a specially curated menu that provides a premium twist on familiar Malaysian snacks and beverages. During an exclusive tasting session, the brands unveiled a range of innovative products that will soon be available at selected Hock Kee Kopitiam outlets. The new lineup features signature staples such as Roti Bakar served with a decadent Durian Kaya and butter, alongside revolutionary brews like Durian-infused Coffee and Teh Tarik. For dessert enthusiasts, three distinct durian ice cream variants—soft serve, gelato, and ice cream sticks—will be available, while retail offerings including Durian Dark Chocolate and Durian Chips will cater to those on the go.

DSR Taiko Berhad is currently the only company in Malaysia with the capability to verify and certify the authentic source of its Musang King durians. To maintain this standard, the company utilizes its proprietary Musang King Integrated Traceability System (MKITS)®, an end-to-end tracking system supported by a rigorous Standard of Quality (SOQ) framework. This ensures that every product served at Hock Kee meets strict criteria for grading, handling, and integrity.
