Cempaka Cahaya Sdn. Bhd. has officially launched CarePod, a next-generation AI-enabled preventive healthcare kiosk designed to enhance early disease detection, structured medical screening, and digitally integrated consultation across community settings in Malaysia. The launch ceremony was attended by the Guest of Honour, Dato’ Dr. Suhaimi bin Ibrahim, Chairman of KOBENA, whose presence highlighted strong institutional and cross-sector support for advancing preventive healthcare and digital integration within primary care services.
Developed by DR Solutions, the health-technology subsidiary of Cempaka Cahaya Sdn. Bhd., CarePod is a fully integrated kiosk platform engineered to ensure comprehensive governance from system architecture to field deployment. The platform combines real-time vital sign monitoring, Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) including FBC, biochemistry panels, and HbA1c, as well as rapid infectious disease screening for Malaria, Influenza, and Dengue, subject to approved clinical protocols. It also incorporates an AI-assisted structured clinical workflow, secure teleconsultation within the kiosk ecosystem, and digital referral and follow-up pathways. This model decentralizes preventive healthcare while maintaining clinical oversight, data governance, and structured accountability.

CarePod’s digital infrastructure is strengthened through collaboration with QuantumNexis Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian subsidiary of Healthcare Triangle Inc. (NASDAQ: HCTI). QuantumNexis provides enterprise-grade healthcare cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, and scalable digital health architecture aligned with international standards, ensuring a robust foundation for long-term expansion. For research validation and public health modelling, CarePod partners with the University of Malaya, enabling evidence-based outcome measurement, NCD risk profiling, infectious disease analytics, and continuous system refinement under academic oversight.

Dr. Balachandran Krishnan, CEO of Cempaka Cahaya Sdn. Bhd., said, “The launch of CarePod marks a strategic step toward shifting Malaysia’s healthcare delivery from reactive treatment to proactive prevention. By integrating diagnostics, infectious disease screening, AI-driven workflows, and teleconsultation into a governed ecosystem, we are strengthening early detection capabilities and expanding healthcare accessibility for communities nationwide.”
CarePod is designed to enhance structured screening and early assessment of hypertension and cardiovascular risks, diabetes and metabolic disorders, acute non-accidental medical conditions, malaria, influenza, dengue, and respiratory compromise including oxygen desaturation. By reducing diagnostic delays and enabling structured digital consultation in a secure kiosk environment, CarePod supports earlier intervention and improved health outcomes, particularly for semi-urban and rural communities.
