BESSA Malaysia Returns to Kuala Lumpur
Marking its momentous 10th anniversary in South-East Asia, the British Education and Schools Show in Asia (BESSA) is set to return on 1 November 2026 at the Junior Ballroom of the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Co-presented with Talk Education and supported by the British High Commission and the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce, this year’s landmark event, themed “The Right School Changes Everything” brings together 20 leading UK boarding schools, residential summer camps, and education specialists under one roof. Over the past decade, BESSA has established itself as an indispensable platform for Malaysian families seeking trusted, first-hand insights into British education, moving beyond brochures and rankings to focus on holistic growth qualities such as confidence, resilience, independence, and a global outlook.
Guidance on UK Summer Camps and Boarding Life
Founded by Stephanie Cheah, a mother of three and boarding school alumna, BESSA was created to help parents navigate an increasingly complex education landscape through honest, informed conversations. This year’s showcase places a special emphasis on UK residential summer camps, offering families an ideal, low-pressure introduction where children can experience boarding life, build independence, and forge global friendships before committing to long-term studies. Participating prestigious institutions include Brighton College, Caterham School, Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Oundle School, Radley College, St Edward’s Oxford, Sevenoaks School, and Wycombe Abbey, alongside expert guidance from Keystone Tutors and Talk Education.
Panel Discussions and Free Admission
In addition to one-to-one consultations with admissions directors, alumni, and school heads, attendees can benefit from an insightful speaker programme featuring two main panel discussions: “The Complete Guide” at 2.00 pm, which covers school selection and boarding life, and “Inside The Admissions Process” at 3.30 pm, providing expert advice on entrance tests and interviews. Admission to BESSA Malaysia 2026 is entirely free and runs from 12 pm to 5 pm. Families are encouraged to pre-register online at the official BESSA website to secure private meetings and explore the complete exhibitor and speaker lineup for this milestone anniversary edition.
