On June 9, 2025, at the Huawei Network Summit 2025 (Asia Pacific) in Hong Kong, Huawei introduced its upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Fabric solution. Presented under the theme “Xinghe Intelligent Fabric, Powering the AI Era,” this new version is designed to improve data center networks and help businesses in the Asia-Pacific region grow in the AI-driven digital era.
Wang Yidong, Director of Huawei’s Asia Pacific ICT Marketing & Solution Sales Department, said that Huawei has helped many industries in the region build modern and high-performing data center networks. He added that Huawei’s secure and reliable solutions allow businesses to innovate and work more efficiently.
Arthur Wang, President of Huawei’s Data Center Network Domain, explained that as AI and cloud technologies continue to grow, data center networks must evolve too. He shared that the upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Fabric uses a three-layer system AI Brain, AI Connection, and AI Network Element which work together to deliver strong and stable connections for AI services.
The AI Brain uses Huawei’s network map and NetMaster to automate processes, run security simulations, and fix up to 80% of network problems automatically. This improves maintenance speed and accuracy. The AI Connection includes Huawei’s unique NSLB (Network-Scale Load Balancing) algorithm to ease congestion and improve AI training efficiency by more than 10%. It also uses iReliable technology to ensure stable, interruption-free services. The AI Network Element uses CloudEngine switches and StarryLink optical modules to detect traffic issues like packet loss or delays and improves built-in network security with group isolation features.
The event also featured guest speakers from companies that work with Huawei. Welcome Chan, IT Security and Network Director of Chong Hing Bank, and Adam Lam, Solutions Architect at Hong Kong Broadband Network, shared how Huawei’s technology has helped support their operations. Dario Rossi, Director of Huawei’s Paris-based research lab, also shared his thoughts on how data center networks are changing in the AI era.
Huawei plans to continue working closely with partners and customers, investing in research and innovation to improve data center network technology. The goal is to support industries across the Asia-Pacific region in achieving successful digital transformation using smart, next-generation solutions. – Tehtariktimes
