The Penang Digitalisation-AI Conference & Exhibition 2026 (PDX2026) has officially unveiled its growing network of strategic partners, sponsors, exhibitors and industry collaborators ahead of what is expected to be one of Malaysia’s leading technology and digital transformation events. The announcement was made during a special press conference held at Olive Tree Hotel Penang, marking another milestone in the conference’s mission to drive innovation, collaboration and digital growth across the region.
Officiated by Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy, Wong Hon Wai, and organised in collaboration with the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), the event highlighted the strong support from both public and private sector stakeholders. Scheduled to take place on 15 and 16 July 2026 at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang, PDX2026 aims to bring together government agencies, business leaders, technology providers, investors, entrepreneurs, educators and digital transformation advocates from Malaysia and neighbouring countries.
Organised by OPERION, the conference is designed as a premier platform for discussions surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, cybersecurity, talent development, innovation and future-ready business strategies. The event reflects the increasing importance of digital technologies in shaping business competitiveness and economic growth, while providing opportunities for organisations to explore emerging trends and practical solutions.
PDX2026 has attracted support from a wide range of strategic partners and industry stakeholders. Supporting partners include the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), Penang Women’s Development Corporation (PWDC) and the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). Digital Penang has joined as the Digital Economy Partner, while Starbucks Malaysia serves as the Official Coffee Partner. Additional support comes from event partners, ecosystem collaborators, sponsors and exhibitors representing various sectors of the technology and business community.

One of the key highlights of PDX2026 will be its lineup of regional speakers and industry leaders from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The conference will feature thought leaders, AI practitioners, policymakers, business strategists and technology innovators sharing insights on topics including Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, smart manufacturing, workforce development, business innovation, ESG initiatives and cross-border collaboration opportunities. These discussions are expected to provide valuable perspectives for organisations navigating an increasingly digital economy.
Beyond technology and innovation, PDX2026 will also introduce a dedicated Food & Cultural Experience Zone, offering attendees an opportunity to experience Penang’s renowned culinary heritage and Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity. The interactive zone is designed to serve as both a networking space and lifestyle hub, creating a unique blend of innovation, culture and hospitality for local and international delegates.
To further enhance visitor engagement, conference participants will have the chance to win attractive lucky draw prizes, including a grand prize car and various sponsored rewards contributed by event partners. The initiative is expected to add excitement to an already dynamic programme while encouraging greater participation from businesses, professionals, entrepreneurs, students and technology enthusiasts.
According to the organising committee, PDX2026 is more than a conference and exhibition. It is a platform that connects ideas, people, technologies and opportunities, while supporting Penang’s aspiration to become a regional hub for digital innovation, AI adoption, talent development and business collaboration. By bringing together diverse stakeholders under one roof, the event aims to accelerate digital transformation efforts and contribute to the growth of Malaysia’s digital economy ecosystem.
As preparations continue, PDX2026 is poised to become a significant gathering for those looking to explore the future of AI, innovation and digitalisation while fostering meaningful collaborations that can drive sustainable growth across Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region.
