The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is proud to participate in IBTM World Barcelona for the 9th consecutive year, reaffirming Malaysia’s position as a top-tier business events destination in Asia. Accompanied by eight premier co-exhibitors, MyCEB is showcasing the country’s innovations, sustainability initiatives, and evolving business events sector at this year’s event held from 19 to 21 November at Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
“Our mission is to reinforce Malaysia’s status as a preferred global destination for business events. IBTM World provides an excellent platform to promote Malaysia’s diverse strengths, build meaningful connections, and secure impactful business leads. We aim to establish new collaborations, nurture existing partnerships, and drive economic growth through this international platform,” said Mr. Noor Azlan, Director of Business Development at MyCEB.
Attracting over 12,000 attendees and 2,650 hosted buyers from around the world, IBTM World offers MyCEB and its partners valuable opportunities for networking and business development. Malaysia’s pavilion, strategically located to maximize exposure, serves as the venue for one-on-one meetings with key international buyers, further enhancing the country’s global business events footprint.
A key highlight this year is the unveiling of the MyTripleE 2.0 Campaign during the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Malaysia Pavilion. This initiative builds on the success of the initial campaign, which is set to conclude shortly, and introduces three pillars: Excel, Elevate, and Enliven. Each pillar targets regional and international markets, offering financial and non-financial support to qualifying applicants. MyTripleE 2.0 aims to expand stakeholder engagement, boost Malaysia’s competitiveness, and promote sustainability in the global business events industry.
MyCEB’s presence at IBTM World also includes the Meetings Leadership Network Event on 18 November, led by Head of Delegation Mr. Noor Azlan, and a special Advocacy Policy session to commemorate IBTM’s 20th anniversary. These events underline Malaysia’s commitment to promoting global industry standards and facilitating strategic discussions. Additionally, MyCEB has been recognized by IBTM as part of its Loyalty Group, celebrating MyCEB’s long-standing support and contributions to the event.
Since its inception in 2011, MyCEB has successfully supported 2,419 business events up to 2019, attracting 1.94 million delegates and contributing RM14.7 billion to Malaysia’s economy. Between 2020 and 2023, in the post-pandemic era, MyCEB supported an additional 497 events, welcoming 1.2 million delegates and generating an economic impact of RM4.9 billion. These achievements underscore MyCEB’s dedication to advancing Malaysia’s position in the global business events sector while driving economic growth.
This year, MyCEB is joined by esteemed co-exhibitors, including:
1. Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC)
2. Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC)
