MAGGI® Wanita Cukup Berani 4.0 Returns with KEMAS to Empower Malaysian Women

The highly successful Program MAGGI® Wanita Cukup Berani (WCB) has officially returned for its fourth edition, marking a major milestone through a strategic partnership with the Community Development Department (KEMAS). This collaboration brings the empowerment campaign directly to grassroots communities across Malaysia, specifically aiming to uplift women from B40 households. By combining culinary passion with modern business training, the program is designed to help women build self-confidence, unlock fresh economic opportunities, and achieve long-term financial independence.

In this exciting new chapter, MAGGI® and KEMAS are issuing a nationwide call to action for women to submit their original business ideas before the fast-approaching 31 May deadline. This challenge offers a direct, practical pathway for aspiring female entrepreneurs to transform their domestic skills into thriving commercial ventures. The stakes are high: five selected participants will each receive RM5,000 in seed funding alongside an exclusive, eight-week intensive mentorship program to help them successfully launch and scale their businesses.

Chef Sharifah and Nestlé Nutritionist Leong Ven Luan lead a MAGGI® cooking demonstration, transforming simple everyday ingredients into flavorful creations while inspiring ideas for home-based business opportunities.

To kick off the return of the campaign, a vibrant community launch event was held at the Pusat Kegiatan Masyarakat (PKM) in Bandar Baru Klang. The event served as an immediate masterclass in entrepreneurship, featuring a dedicated business seminar by WCB mentor Anne Idris and KEMAS on building sustainable enterprises. Participants also engaged in a signature MAGGI® cooking demonstration focused on commercial menu building, a dynamic “Confidence & Grooming Talk” by mentor Wan Alleena Abdullah, and motivational sharing sessions from successful local entrepreneurs.

Since its inception, Program MAGGI® WCB has evolved into a massive nationwide movement with an ambitious target to empower 10,000 women by the end of 2026. While cooking remains the accessible entry point, the curriculum has expanded significantly to cover modern business fundamentals, including digital marketing and financial management. KEMAS, which is currently undergoing a digital transformation of its own, provides the ideal infrastructure to ensure that women in rural and underserved areas can seamlessly transition from learning to running active businesses.

Wan Alleena Abdullah, Mentor for Program MAGGI® Wanita Cukup Berani (WCB) delivers a “Confidence” session to equip participants with essential skills in self-presentation, communication and confidence-building.

Ms. Ivy Tan Link Cheh, Business Executive Officer of MAGGI® Malaysia and Singapore, noted that taking the first step toward entrepreneurship has never been more critical as the digital economy continues to rapidly expand. She highlighted that through KEMAS, along with digital collaborations with Google and TikTok, MAGGI® is providing the tangible tools and real-world mentorship necessary for women to succeed. She urged women nationwide to cast aside hesitation and submit their concepts by 31 May, emphasizing that true empowerment begins the moment an idea is put into practice.

Supporting this vision, Datuk Mohd Hanafiah Man, Director-General of KEMAS, emphasized that entering this challenge is a powerful act of self-ownership for Malaysian women. He stated that the upcoming 31 May deadline is a timely opportunity for women, particularly from B40 communities, to build reliable, independent income streams. With a supportive ecosystem combining online learning, funding, and corporate mentoring, this partnership makes entrepreneurship accessible to all.

To join the movement, participants can complete the four mandatory online modules and submit their business ideas at the official portal: https://www.maggi.my/ms/maggi-happenings/WanitaCukupBerani_Musim4/.
