Malaysia’s Business Events Industry Set to Shine at MBEA and EventXpo 2025
The Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) is proud to announce the return of two highly anticipated events that will set the tone for the future of Malaysia’s business events industry the 3rd Malaysian Business Events Awards (MBEA) and the 2nd edition of EventXpo 2025. Scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 August 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), these two flagship events will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders in a powerful celebration of excellence, innovation, and growth.
As a cornerstone of Malaysia’s business events calendar, this dual showcase is set to highlight the strength and potential of the industry, while also recognising the achievements of those who have driven it forward. According to Datuk Dr M Gandhi, President of MACEOS, the combined event offers unparalleled opportunities for networking, collaboration, and inspiration. “MBEA and EventXpo are not just events they are essential platforms for anyone in the business events ecosystem. This is the place to be for forging new connections, discovering innovative solutions, and celebrating the remarkable resilience of our industry,” he said.
Returning with the theme “Smart Solutions, Smart Events,” EventXpo 2025 aims to redefine the regional marketplace for business events. Over three days, the expo will feature cutting-edge exhibitions, interactive experiences, keynote sessions from global industry leaders, and targeted networking opportunities. It will bring together event organisers, suppliers, venue operators, and corporate buyers to foster new partnerships and business deals in an environment designed for meaningful engagement. Dr Gandhi emphasised that EventXpo is more than just an exhibition it is a transformational platform where corporate buyers can discover trusted suppliers and where Malaysian businesses can showcase their offerings to a broader regional audience without leaving the country.
A special highlight of EventXpo 2025 will be the Kind Malaysia initiative, which brings together the corporate and non-profit sectors to foster impactful collaborations. This social responsibility platform reinforces MACEOS’s commitment to inclusive growth and community empowerment through business events, creating lasting value beyond the commercial outcomes of the expo.

On 7 August 2025, the industry will turn its attention to recognising the very best in the business during the Malaysian Business Events Awards (MBEA). The prestigious awards ceremony will celebrate organisations, events, and individuals that have demonstrated exceptional creativity, leadership, and impact within the Malaysian business events landscape. With new categories being introduced this year including Business Catalyst Excellence and Best Stage Design Excellence MBEA 2025 aims to reflect the ever-evolving industry landscape and inspire even greater innovation among industry players.
Dr Gandhi noted that the awards are a timely tribute to the resilience and adaptability of the industry. “Over the past few years, our industry has weathered significant challenges, yet many have emerged stronger and more creative. The MBEA is about honouring those efforts and setting a new benchmark for excellence,” he said. Full details on nominations and criteria will be released in May 2025 via the official MACEOS website.
Together, MBEA and EventXpo 2025 serve as a launchpad for the future of business events in Malaysia. By bringing together the best of the industry under one roof, MACEOS is reaffirming its commitment to positioning Malaysia as a leading hub for business events in Asia.
