In recent years, the rapid growth of live-stream e-commerce and social commerce has provided a thriving marketplace for both genuine and unscrupulous sellers. Unfortunately, many unethical businesses have taken advantage of consumers’ desire for luxury goods, selling counterfeit products at high prices for substantial profits.
To combat this rising issue, the International Luxury Brands Authentication Institute (ILBAI) has announced a press conference on 6 March 2025 at Barrister’s Brew, Desa Sri Hartamas. The conference will expose the fraudulent activities and illegal practices of two major platforms, “The High Table” and “Unboxing,” which have been deceiving consumers and victimizing unsuspecting buyers.
According to multiple complaints from affected consumers, Aw Chee Koon, the person in charge of “The High Table” and “Unboxing,” has been openly selling counterfeit luxury goods while misrepresenting them as genuine. When buyers questioned the authenticity of their purchases or requested refunds, they were met with intimidation and threats designed to silence them.
Despite numerous reports and complaints, “The High Table” and “Unboxing” continue to operate actively across various social media and e-commerce platforms. Their deceptive practices include creating fake accounts to fabricate sales records during live-stream sessions and spreading false information on social media to discredit victims who dare to speak out.

Consumers who have attempted to seek justice after purchasing counterfeit items from “The High Table” and “Unboxing” have faced severe retaliation. Many were denied refunds without valid reasons, while others were subjected to malicious defamation and even threats. In extreme cases, the platform allegedly made false police reports against victims to suppress their voices and discourage further complaints.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, ILBAI has officially filed a lawsuit against “The High Table” and “Unboxing” and their responsible individuals. In an effort to protect consumer rights and uphold the integrity of the luxury goods market, ILBAI will provide free authentication services to all affected buyers. Additionally, the institute will offer legal assistance to victims seeking compensation and ensure that all fraudulent activities associated with these platforms are thoroughly investigated.
ILBAI urges consumers to remain vigilant when purchasing luxury items online and to report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities. The institute is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent marketplace where consumers can shop with confidence, free from the threat of fraud and deception.
As this issue continues to escalate, ILBAI calls upon all media outlets to shed light on these fraudulent practices and help spread awareness. Transparency and accountability are crucial in dismantling such deceptive schemes and holding wrongdoers accountable.
For further updates on the press conference and legal proceedings, ILBAI encourages consumers to follow their official channels and seek assistance if they suspect they have fallen victim to counterfeit luxury goods.
Together, we can put an end to counterfeit scams and protect the rights of luxury goods consumers worldwide.
