HONOR Malaysia is excited to launch the first-ever Magic Stories Awards 2026 alongside a nationwide photography workshop series that celebrates Malaysia’s cultural richness, scenic beauty and everyday life. This initiative encourages photographers to tell meaningful stories through images captured using HONOR smartphones. As part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, the programme brings together creativity, technology and community engagement to further position Malaysia as a top travel destination.
The awards invite Malaysians to participate by submitting photographs under six categories, namely cityscape, people and culture, nature, food, hidden gems and animals. A total of 21 winners will be selected across different categories, recognising excellence in mobile photography storytelling. The top winner will receive a flagship foldable smartphone, while two Master of Photography winners will each receive the HONOR Magic8 Pro. Three Prestigious Photographers will be awarded the HONOR 600 Pro and 15 HONORable Photographers will receive the HONOR 600. Entries are open from 27 April until 15 September 2026, with winners announced in October 2026, and submissions must be taken using HONOR devices.
Selected winning works will be showcased at exhibitions, shopping malls nationwide and on HONOR’s social media channels. Some winners will also be fast-tracked to the global finals of the HONOR Magic Stories Awards 2026, offering international exposure. The photography workshop tour complements the awards by providing hands-on learning experiences across seven locations nationwide from 9 May to 11 July 2026, including Penang Hill, Kota Bharu, Taman Negara, Genting Highlands, Sabah, Perlis and Kuching.
Participants will explore different photography themes while experiencing the camera capabilities of the HONOR 600 Pro. The initiative is supported by CelcomDigi, ensuring reliable connectivity throughout the programme so participants can easily capture and share their content.
