As China intensifies its efforts toward energy efficiency and carbon neutrality, the 22nd edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will take place from 9 – 12 June 2025 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Running concurrently with the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), this year’s event will spotlight advancements in smart power distribution, intelligent lighting, home automation, and sustainable building technologies.
In 2024, the Chinese government launched policies to drive the integration of intelligent technologies for a greener future. These initiatives emphasize low-energy buildings, innovative power supply systems, and sustainable lifestyles. The National Development and Reform Commission of China, in collaboration with other agencies, has introduced guidelines encouraging the widespread adoption of green building technologies to promote healthier living environments.
Ms Lucia Wong, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, noted the transformative impact of emerging technologies. She stated, “The rapid advancements in 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and the metaverse are revolutionizing the industry. As a leading communication platform, GEBT 2025 will highlight cutting-edge innovations in low-carbon intelligent building and smart power distribution, contributing to a more sustainable built environment.” The event will feature dedicated zones showcasing groundbreaking energy-efficient and low-carbon building solutions.
GEBT 2025 will introduce specialized exhibition zones focusing on key energy solutions. The Smart Power Distribution Zone will feature advanced systems for smart distribution, hybrid power supply, integrated power generation, and renewable energy management. The Generic Cabling Zone will highlight intelligent cabling applications for smart buildings, home automation, and IoT technology. The Building Control and Energy Management Zone will present solutions for building monitoring, energy optimization, energy storage, and power quality control. Additionally, the Intelligent Building Supply Chain Consulting Zone will provide insights into market trends and strategic development.
To enhance industry knowledge sharing, GEBT 2025 will collaborate with Qianjia Smartech to host forums led by industry experts. Discussions will cover AI applications in intelligent buildings, dual-carbon strategies, smart commercial space development, and home automation trends. Key events will include the China (Guangzhou) Integrators’ Conference 2025, gathering integrators, government officials, project managers, and industry professionals to explore cost-effective and efficient intelligent system integration. The Low-Carbon Intelligent Building Summit 2025 will delve into AI-powered energy-saving technologies, automation advancements, and the latest intelligent building innovations. The Emerging Trends & Highlights in Intelligent Building 2025 forum will unveil new technologies, product launches, and real-world case studies. Additionally, the AI+ Low-Carbon Intelligent Building Summit will explore AI-driven business models that support the transition to green and intelligent technologies.
GEBT 2025 remains a key platform for fostering industry collaboration, providing exhibitors with opportunities to showcase their latest innovations and solutions. The exhibition is part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fairs, which also include the biennial Light + Building event in Frankfurt, Germany, scheduled for 8 – 13 March 2026.
Messe Frankfurt organizes specialized trade fairs across Asia, including Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology, Shanghai Smart Home Technology, and Parking China. The company’s lighting and building technology exhibitions also cover markets in Argentina, India, Türkiye, the UAE, and the USA.
