In celebration of World Esports Day, Goodday Charge, a pioneer in legitimising esports as a mainstream sport, proudly unveiled Malaysia’s first all-ages inclusive esports gym—Goodday Charge Arena, powered by Orange Esports Club.
The grand launch took place on October 14 at Quill City Mall, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by Pia Lisa, Marketing Manager at Etika Sdn Bhd, and Adrian Gaffor, Co-Founder and owner of The Gaming Company.
To mark the occasion, the Goodday Charge Arena will host a day full of activities, beginning with FREE PLAY sessions that allow everyone to explore the arena at no cost. Visitors can also attend FREE workshops designed for young gamers and those interested in pursuing careers in esports. Furthermore, attendees can participate in open play sessions with some of Malaysia’s top streamers, including Andrew ‘Stonkol69’ and ‘Abangkepuk’, alongside Malaysia’s first senior esports team, Team eMAS.
Fresh off the success of the Boomers2Gamers initiative—Goodday Charge’s effort to find Malaysia’s first senior esports team—the Charge Arena will also host a Watch Party featuring a sneak preview of three episodes from the highly anticipated *Boomers2Gamers* series. This unique series, airing on Astro Arena, highlights Team eMAS’ journey into the world of gaming, further supporting Goodday Charge’s mission to legitimise esports.
This Watch Party is more than just a viewing—it’s an opportunity to connect with a vibrant gaming community while celebrating the spirit of esports. The Charge Arena aims to foster esports participation among all age groups, including seniors. By focusing on the physical, cognitive, and nutritional aspects of gaming, Goodday Charge promotes healthy gaming practices. Much like traditional athletes, esports players require proper nutrition, and Goodday Charge’s chocolate milk, enriched with Vitamin B complex for sustained energy, is essential for this.
To further encourage inclusivity, every Tuesday will be designated as BOOMERS2GAMERS Day at the Charge Arena, where seniors can play for FREE, reinforcing the commitment to engage gamers of all ages. Situated on Level 6 of Quill City Mall, the 2500 sqft space offers various gaming setups, from state-of-the-art PCs to consoles, racing simulators, and mobile gaming lounges. Additionally, visitors can enjoy access to content creation resources, streaming facilities, and expert coaching by the TGC team, creating an inclusive environment for gamers of all levels.
Amy Gan, VP of Marketing at Etika Sdn Bhd, expressed her excitement, stating: “Goodday Charge is committed to transforming how esports is perceived. The launch of this arena represents another milestone in that journey. By offering a space for all ages to explore esports, we are not just redefining healthy gaming but also building a community that bridges generations. It’s inspiring to see both seniors and young gamers bonding, learning, and competing through this platform.”
“We eagerly await the arrival of gamers of all ages and experience levels, inviting everyone to discover the exciting world of esports,” she added. “I extend my gratitude to Adrian and the TGC team for sharing this vision and making this initiative a reality. Together, we look forward to driving more impactful initiatives for the esports community.”
Adrian Gaffor, Co-Founder of The Gaming Company, commented, “The Goodday Charge Esports Arena is more than just a facility—it’s a declaration that esports is for everyone, regardless of age or background. We’re thrilled to partner with Goodday Charge to deliver workshops and training sessions aimed at helping young people kickstart their esports journeys while contributing to the growth of Malaysia’s esports ecosystem. This arena is a major step forward in establishing esports as a sport that promotes social connections, lifelong learning, and healthy competition.”
Alongside the opening celebrations, Charge Arena is launching two exciting contests that gamers can participate in from now until the end of November: the Goodday Charge Esports Month Contest and the Charge Arena Contest. The Esports Month Contest offers participants the opportunity to win a share of RM70,000 worth of gaming prizes, including a PlayStation 5, a PREDATOR gaming laptop and PC, and JBL headphones, available at selected convenience stores and the Etika TikTok store. Meanwhile, the Charge Arena Contest encourages visitors to take their most creative photo of the arena for a chance to win a PlayStation 5 and TNG e-wallet credit.
For those seeking more challenges, the Charge Racing Sim Challenge offers players the opportunity to win exciting rewards such as a carton of Goodday Charge, 8 hours of FREE playtime at the arena, and a feature in Goodday Charge’s social media! Additionally, guests can take advantage of a special promotion—purchase any Goodday Charge drink and receive one hour of FREE playtime at the arena, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the gaming experience.
Operating daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, the Goodday Charge Arena is open to the public, offering gaming enthusiasts a space to improve their skills, socialise, and engage in healthy gaming. An hourly charge applies for use of the facilities.
