HB Leisure (HBL), the global leader in skill-based games, is set to introduce Carousel & Co., Malaysia’s first social entertainment destination, at Avenue K in December 2025. This all-in-one venue combines play, drinks, and dining in a premium, tech-enhanced rooftop setting in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Carousel & Co. brings the internationally recognised trend of “competitive socialising,” inviting guests to eat, drink, and challenge each other through large-format skill games in a space inspired by the golden age of fairgrounds.
Designed as a carnival-inspired, group-focused experience, Carousel & Co. transforms traditional outings into interactive social play. The multi-zone venue will feature large-format skill games, immersive design elements, and an elevated food and beverage offering designed for connection. From corporate mixers to casual hangouts, the concept combines the energy of a carnival with the comfort of modern social dining, offering city-goers a new way to relax, celebrate, and compete.

“Malaysia’s social scene is evolving beyond dining and nightlife. Carousel & Co. represents the next phase – an experience that celebrates connection, creativity, and competition,” said Greg Pearn, Head of New Concepts at HBL. “We wanted to capture the nostalgia of a carnival but reimagine it for adults – where the games are bigger, the cocktails bolder, and the laughter louder. By combining our 100-year heritage in theme park skill-based entertainment with Kuala Lumpur’s growing appetite for quality, playful experiences, we’re creating something truly unique.”
Carousel & Co. marks HBL’s entry into Malaysia’s lifestyle and entertainment market, with a venue designed for scalability and franchise potential across Southeast Asia. The space will feature modern takes on classic skill games, including Down-The-Clown, Skeeball, and Basketball, with real-time scoring integrated throughout. The venue is group-centric, offering spaces for teams, social gatherings, and interactive experiences, allowing everyone to enjoy fun, friendly competition. “Avenue K is exactly the right location for this project,” added Greg Pearn. “It’s at the center of the city’s heartbeat – where professionals, shoppers, and travelers intersect. Carousel & Co. will offer a space to grab a drink, enjoy a bite, share a laugh, and sneak in some friendly competition in the heart of the city.”

The launch of Carousel & Co. comes at a time when Malaysia’s leisure market is diversifying, driven by growing demand for interactive, experience-led entertainment. Positioned at the intersection of hospitality, technology, and lifestyle, the brand aims to redefine how Malaysians and visitors spend their social hours – playfully and connected. The Avenue K flagship marks the start of regional expansion, with global franchise discussions already underway ahead of the official launch.
