The eagerly awaited HONOR 400 Series has already captured the attention of early testers ahead of its official launch on 22 May 2025. A select group of Malaysian photographers were given an exclusive sneak peek at the HONOR 400 Pro, and they were quick to praise its impressive ultra-clear AI photography capabilities, especially the standout AI Super Zoom feature.
Photographer Nazer Noor was among the first to trial the HONOR 400 Pro, and he was genuinely impressed. In a recent Facebook post, Nazer highlighted the device’s remarkable camera performance, noting that despite being a mid-range smartphone, the HONOR 400 Pro delivers an astonishing 50x zoom capability. He demonstrated this by capturing breathtaking landscapes, nature shots, and urban cityscapes, showcasing the phone’s AI Super Zoom feature that provides an impressive focal length range from 15x to 50x. This feature maintains excellent sharpness and clarity even at extreme distances, thanks to the innovative AI HONOR IMAGE Engine which integrates cutting-edge AI technologies to elevate mobile photography.
Flagship-Grade Camera Hardware
The HONOR 400 Pro pushes the envelope further with its flagship-level hardware. It boasts a 200MP Super Sensing Main Camera equipped with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and an f/1.9 aperture, coupled with dual optical and electronic image stabilization (OIS + EIS) to ensure crystal-clear shots, even in low-light conditions. The phone also includes a 50MP AI Telephoto Camera featuring the Sony IMX856 sensor, 3x optical zoom, and OIS for sharp zoomed images. Complementing these is a 12MP Ultra-Wide and Macro Camera to capture expansive scenes, while the 50MP Portrait Selfie Camera guarantees flawless selfies and wefies.

Among them is the industry-first AI Image to Video feature, powered by Google Cloud AI, which enables users to effortlessly generate videos from still photos. This eliminates the need for third-party apps, as the phone comes preloaded with AI editing capabilities such as AI Eraser 2.0, AI Cutout, AI Outpainting, and AI Upscale.

HONOR Malaysia also revealed that the 400 Series will be available in three variants, giving consumers a range of options. The Pro variant stands out with an enormous 24GB RAM (including 12GB HONOR Turbo RAM) and 512GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the standard versions come with 24GB RAM (with 12GB Turbo RAM) and offer either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
