Vivo Officially Launches X500 Series Flagship Featuring Fully Upgraded Imaging Capabilities

Vivo has officially unveiled its new imaging flagship in Shanghai, headlined by the powerhouse vivo X500 Pro Max. As the opening chapter of the brand’s dynamic imaging strategy, the device is engineered to achieve dual excellence in both photography and cinematic video capture. By focusing on fundamental breakthroughs in sensors, chips, and computational algorithms, vivo aims to turn smartphone recording into an authentic cinematic experience for mobile creators everywhere.

The centerpiece of this technical leap is the jointly developed Vivo x Sony LYTIA L910 sensor. Breaking prior hardware barriers, this sensor achieves an unprecedented 17 EV Ultra High Dynamic Range in true output. This capability extends vivid, artifact free clarity across harsh backlit conditions for every frame of footage. Backing this optical prowess is a 3° gimbal grade OIS system and CIPA 7.0 stabilization, ensuring ultra steady handheld results even during high velocity movements.

For dedicated filmmakers, the X500 Pro Max delivers high tier production capabilities previously limited to dedicated cinema rigs. The device supports 4K 240 fps cinematic slow motion alongside 10-bit 4:2:2 Log encoding aligned with ACES standards. Thanks to an official partnership with DaVinci, mobile Log footage can be color graded directly in the same color space as professional cinema footage, while 8K Native Live output maintains uniform color consistency across live broadcasts.

Powering these massive workloads is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro, built on an efficient 2nm process node. The platform integrates vivo’s proprietary V3+ and VS1+ imaging processors, a custom Ultra Performance Imaging NPU 2.0, and hardware-level Log acceleration. Supported by a 6.85-inch 2K ZEISS display and a 7,800 mAh BlueVolt battery, the phone establishes a complete, reliable production studio in a single handheld chassis.
