AI Build & Interiors Connect 2026 Debuts, Showcasing the Future-Ready Solutions

The inaugural AI Build & Interiors Connect 2026 officially opened its doors today at CityStage @ KL City Walk, bringing together more than 18 carefully selected exhibitors and industry stakeholders for a three-day showcase dedicated to innovation in construction, interiors, smart living and artificial intelligence.

Held in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s central business district, the event serves as a platform for businesses, professionals and consumers to explore emerging technologies, discover future-ready solutions and engage in meaningful industry discussions. Through exhibitions, networking opportunities, AI-IN-ACTION sessions and expert-led forums, visitors gained valuable insights into the evolving landscape of modern living and built environments.

Welcoming attendees to the event, organiser and Citystage KLCC founder Dennis Choy said the showcase was created to highlight innovative AI-driven solutions while encouraging collaboration among industry players.

“Our goal is to facilitate knowledge sharing through meaningful discussions and industry forums while bringing together stakeholders from the construction, interior design and smart living sectors,” he said.

He added that the event also aims to create business opportunities, foster strategic partnerships and provide a marketplace where brands, suppliers and service providers can expand their reach and grow their businesses.

Throughout the showcase, visitors had the opportunity to connect directly with industry experts, thought leaders and innovators shaping the future of architecture, sustainability, artificial intelligence and smart living. Among the key highlights were keynote presentations by award-winning architect and former president of Persatuan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), Ar. Sarly Adre Sarkum, and AI transformation advisor as well as Chief Executive Officer of Futureverse Technologies, Rajiv Mathew.

Ar. Sarly, who is also the Chief Architecturalist of [SA]² – Sarly Adre Sarkum Architecture Sdn. Bhd., delivered a thought-provoking session on the role of architects in the age of AI and its relevance within the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Rajiv, drawing from more than two decades of experience in consulting and digital transformation, shared practical insights on how small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction sector can embrace and lead AI-driven transformation.

The showcase featured more than 20 distinguished speakers covering a diverse range of topics, including Healing Architecture & Emotional Wellbeing, The Future Home as a Healing Environment, AI Digitalisation in Real Estate & Construction and Small Team, Big Delivery – How AI Helped Us Deliver a Public Sector Pilot Project.

Five panel discussions further enriched the programme, addressing subjects such as AI & Productivity for SMEs, The Future of Human-Centered Living and Smart Buildings, and Smarter Futures: AI, Robotics, Industry 5.0 and Digital Security.
