BYD Strengthens Nationwide EV Presence with New Showrooms and Service Centres

PETALING JAYA, 6 March 2026 – BYD Sime Motors is accelerating the growth of electric mobility in Malaysia by significantly expanding its nationwide network of showrooms and service centres. With more than 40 showrooms already established and a target of 34 aftersales touchpoints by 2026, the brand is strengthening accessibility for customers across key regions. This includes new expansions into Johor’s secondary cities such as Muar and Kluang, as well as a stronger presence along the East Coast with Kuala Terengganu joining Kuantan and Kota Bahru.

The northern region continues to see steady growth with new locations in Sungai Petani, Juru and Ipoh, where the Ipoh 3S Centre introduces the city’s first dedicated EV charging hub equipped with high-capacity DC chargers. Meanwhile, in the central region, the Sri Hartamas 3S Centre integrates sales, service and spare parts within a mall environment, offering convenience for urban customers. With 12 Body & Paint outlets already operational and more in the pipeline, BYD is reinforcing long-term ownership confidence.

This strategic expansion aligns with BYD’s strong market performance, having delivered over 14,000 vehicles in 2025 and maintaining its position as Malaysia’s top battery electric vehicle brand for three consecutive years. As the company moves towards its target of 30,000 customers by April 2026, its growing ecosystem is set to further drive EV adoption nationwide.
