Sony has announced the launch of two innovative power supply solutions designed specifically for its Alpha series, which includes cameras from the Cinema Line that utilize the NP-FZ100 battery.
These new products aim to meet the increasing demands of content creators for reliable power options during their shooting sessions. The first offering, the BC-ZD1 battery charger, allows users to charge two NP-FZ100 batteries simultaneously, making it an ideal choice for those who require quick turnaround times. This high-speed charger can fully charge both batteries in approximately 155 minutes when connected to a USB Power Delivery (PD) compatible power supply that delivers 30W or more, along with a USB cable that supports USB PD with a current of 3A or higher.
In addition to the charger, Sony introduced the DC-C1 DC coupler, which provides a continuous and reliable power supply directly to compatible cameras that use either NP-FZ100 or NP-FW50 rechargeable battery packs. This device connects to an external power source, such as a USB PD compatible AC adapter rated at 65W or higher, along with a USB cable that supports USB PD with a 5A current. The DC-C1 ensures that creators can maintain stable power during extended photo shoots or live streaming sessions, eliminating concerns about battery depletion.
By expanding its range of power solutions, including these essential battery products, Sony is dedicated to enhancing the shooting experience for photographers and videographers alike. These new offerings are designed to support extended periods of creative work, ultimately contributing to a more efficient workflow for creators in various settings.
