Midea, one of the world’s largest home appliance manufacturers and a leading global technology company, successfully hosted its first-ever Asia-Pacific Dealer Conference in Bali. The event brought together 450 regional partners under the unifying theme “Power of One,” marking a significant milestone in Midea’s journey to become the world’s No.1 smart home appliance company. The conference featured five experiential zones that showcased the brand’s cutting-edge innovations, while also reaffirming Midea’s commitment to strengthening its local presence in key markets such as Malaysia through continuous technical training, service excellence, and impactful community partnerships.
Mr. Zeal Jiang, President of Midea Asia Pacific Region, emphasized that the “Power of One” vision is driven by three key pillars: technological leadership, local-for-local capabilities, and strong partnerships. By investing heavily in R&D and smart technologies, expanding its production and service networks, and collaborating closely with partners across APAC, Midea aims to achieve USD 1.5 billion in sales revenue within the region by 2028. This ambition is supported by the company’s leading position in nine global home appliance categories, certified by Euromonitor International, including Smart Home Appliances, Air Conditioners, Air Treatment, and Small Cooking Appliances.
During the conference, Midea unveiled 150 products across five innovation zones: SMART MASTER, showcasing AI-powered appliances integrated with the Midea SmartHome App; AI ECOMASTER, offering energy-saving solutions with AI-driven optimization; SPACE MASTER, featuring space-efficient designs; advanced residential air-conditioners with Prime Guard™ technology; and Midea Building Technologies (MBT), which includes large-scale solutions like the VC MAX VRF and Magboost Apex chiller. These innovations reflect Midea’s vision of smarter, more sustainable living for homes and industries alike.

Midea’s strong technological leadership is underpinned by a USD 10 billion R&D investment over the past five years, 100,000 patents, and 470 technology awards. Looking forward, Midea plans to invest over CNY 50 billion (USD 6.96 billion) in AI, new energy, advanced robotics, and embodied intelligence. These advancements build upon milestones such as the introduction of its humanoid household robot, MIRA, at the 2025 World AI Conference.
Midea’s growth strategy in APAC focuses on local manufacturing and service excellence. With 63 global production bases—including nine across Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia the company continues to lead in supply chain resilience. Notably, its Thailand factory became the first overseas World Economic Forum Lighthouse Factory in the air-conditioning industry, achieving significant energy savings and carbon reduction. To further enhance after-sales service, Midea launched the Midea Club Application across APAC, streamlining product delivery, installation, training, and warranty services. Over the next three years, the company targets training 30,000 engineers through 200 annual training events. In Malaysia specifically, Midea conducts quarterly training programs to enhance local technical expertise, ensuring service quality meets global standards.
Midea is also deeply committed to sustainability and community impact. It was recognized in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) 2025 for its ESG performance, contributing to disaster relief, elderly care, and youth development. In Malaysia, Midea has partnered with Persatuan Badminton Negeri Kelantan to support youth sports development and actively participates in community initiatives such as flood relief efforts. Regionally, Midea has led coral restoration projects in Bali, planting over 1,000 corals to support marine biodiversity and sustainable ecosystems. Additionally, Midea continues to build global connections through major sports sponsorships, including its role as Main Partner Sleeve Sponsor of FC Barcelona and long-term partnerships with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Manchester City Football Club.
“Our ambition is to achieve world-leading innovation with strong local relevance,” said Mr. Mark Tam, Managing Director of Midea Malaysia. “This means ensuring our technologies not only set new global standards but also deliver meaningful benefits to Malaysian families and communities.”
