Live Comedy Brings Festive Joy to Special Needs Children and Underprivileged Adults

Special Comedy Performance Brightens Pusat KIRTARSH

An early Deepavali celebration brought immense joy to more than 100 children with special needs and underprivileged adults from Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya KIRTARSH, courtesy of a live stand-up comedy performance by Praveen Kumar. Organized by Mojo Projects in collaboration with the Malaysian Indian Community Centre (MICC), the special outing took place at the Omnia Auditorium in Menara BAC, Petaling Jaya. The event served as a heartwarming platform for the community to experience the lively food-inspired storytelling of Naanum Foodie Dhaan, part of the ongoing Mojo Comedy Series that explores everyday humour and shared cultural love for food.

Pre-Show Festivities And Exclusive Meet-And-Greet

Before the laughter filled the auditorium, the guests were treated to a delightful pre-show experience featuring food, goodie bags, and an exclusive meet-and-greet session with Praveen Kumar alongside Mojo Projects CEO and Founder, Ratna K. Nadarajan. Ratna highlighted that true festive giving extends beyond material necessities to include shared joy, memorable experiences, and a sense of belonging. The successful community outreach was made possible through the generous backing of sponsors PureSaiva, Harekrishna Textiles, and Goodday Milk, alongside strategic partner DNA Creative Communications.

On stage, Praveen charmed the audience with witty observations spanning childhood snacks, home-cooked biriyani, delivery apps, and the nostalgic warmth encapsulated in the familiar Tamil greeting, “Saaptiyaa?” (“Have you eaten?”). Following the success of his previous tour, Family Man Returns, this latest show found fresh, relatable comedy in family dining rituals and everyday mealtime memories. By blending entertainment with compassion, the event delivered an unforgettable Deepavali treat, spreading laughter and festive cheer to the KIRTARSH community.
