Kuala Lumpur, 22 May 2025 – Haier Malaysia has taken a significant step forward in the premium home appliance segment with the launch of the Haier L+ Washing Machine, a smart washer-dryer equipped with AI technology and a heat pump. Designed to meet the demands of modern lifestyles that value efficiency and convenience, this machine can wash, dry, and care for various fabric types from delicate children’s clothing to large curtains and comforters all at the touch of a button.
The L+ Washing Machine sets a new benchmark in smart laundry solutions through the integration of AI Smart Wash technology, the Dual Engine Three Inverter system, and a large 607mm Super Drum Plus that provides ample capacity for heavy-duty loads. It offers 20 wash modes and 17 drying modes, and can tackle 26 types of tough stains, including curry, coffee, ink, and lipstick. The AI Wash and Dry function automatically detects load weight, adjusts water levels and drying temperatures to optimise resource use and deliver outstanding results. The Smart Dosing system dispenses detergent, softener, and bleach in precise amounts tailored to each load, while a multi-layer filter effectively removes pet hair and fine dust particles.
Adding to its premium features, Haier has introduced I-Refresh technology, ideal for clothes that cannot be machine washed. It uses warm air and steam to refresh fabrics and eliminate odours. The Ultra Fresh Air function keeps clothes fresh for up to 12 hours after washing and drying a practical solution for busy users. Meanwhile, UV drying and Ultra Reverse technology help protect fabrics and reduce wrinkles by distributing hot air evenly through bi-directional inverter motors and fans. All functions are controlled via a 10.1-inch smart LCD display the largest screen available in the washing machine market offering intuitive controls and clear visuals. Despite its power, the machine operates quietly thanks to its Direct Motion Motor, which is durable and energy-efficient.
According to Fan Jing, Managing Director of Haier Malaysia, the launch of the L+ Washing Machine is part of a five-year strategic plan announced during the Haier Southeast Asia Conference in December 2024, aimed at securing a 17.4% market share in the home appliance category. He also shared that in Q1 2025, Haier Malaysia recorded a 20% increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2024, with the washing machine segment growing by 21%. To support this momentum, Haier plans to launch 10 more new products in the mid- to premium range in the second half of this year as part of its growth strategy.
The Haier L+ Washing Machine is priced at RM16,599 and is available at all Haier Brand Shops, authorised dealers, and major retailers nationwide.
