FMBA Launches MINDA 2025 & ASEAN Business Forum in KL

The Federation of Malaysian Business Associations (FMBA) officially launched the Malaysia Industry Awards 2025 (MINDA 2025) and the ASEAN Business Community Development Forum (ABCD Forum) during a Media Appreciation Hi-Tea held at Roti By d’Tandoor, Kuala Lumpur. Both events will take place on 7 August 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

This year, MINDA 2025 makes a significant milestone by expanding to a regional level, in line with Malaysia’s role as ASEAN Chair in 2025. With the theme “Champions of Change Shaping ASEAN’s Future”, the awards aim to recognise corporations and industry leaders from across Southeast Asia, celebrating excellence in leadership, innovation, and economic contribution.

A total of 40 awards will be presented, including Lifetime Achievement Awards, ASEAN International Awards, MADANI Young Rising Star Awards, MADANI Woman Excellence Awards, and various industry awards for excellence, innovation, and outstanding contributions. The event will be attended by top business figures, government leaders, and international delegates.

The ABCD Forum will also be held on the same day with the theme “Empowering ASEAN’s Next Leap Digital, Sustainable & Entrepreneurial Transformation”. The forum will cover three key topics: ASEAN’s digital future, green economy, and the empowerment of MSMEs. Speakers include YB Gobind Singh Deo, Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Datuk Seri Dr. Maimunah Mohd Sharif, and other leaders from around the ASEAN region.

The participation fee for the forum is RM1,750 per person (HRD Corp claimable), while a Dual Pass for both the forum and the awards dinner is offered at RM2,799, on a first-come-first-served basis.

FMBA will also launch the ASEAN Business Connectivity (ABC) platform during MINDA 2025. This new digital platform will serve as a regional business directory aimed at connecting ASEAN businesses, promoting products, encouraging cross-border collaboration, and supporting market expansion and export opportunities.

MINDA receives strong support from over 200 presidents of business associations including the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce, Malaysia Budget Hotel Association, and ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation. Since its inception, MINDA has recognised numerous entrepreneurs and organisations that have significantly contributed to national development. The full list of past recipients can be found at mindaawards.my.

With its regional focus, launch of the ABC platform, and the introduction of the ABCD Forum, MINDA 2025 promises to be more than just an awards event it is a platform to drive collaboration, growth, and leadership across ASEAN’s business community. FMBA welcomes all stakeholders to be part of this historic event. – Tehtariktimes
