Accor and Tropicana Corporation Berhad have joined forces to bring Mercure Living Genting Highlands, a new extended-stay hospitality development set to transform the way visitors and homeowners experience highland living.
The hotel management agreement between both companies combines Accor’s international hospitality expertise with Tropicana’s strong track record in township development. The collaboration aims to introduce a professionally managed branded residence concept that offers comfort, flexibility and lifestyle value in Genting Highlands.
Located within TwinPines Serviced Suites at Tropicana Grandhill, Mercure Living Genting Highlands will become part of Tropicana WindCity, a 596-acre integrated township designed around wellness, lifestyle and modern living. The development is expected to open in 2028 with 1,443 fully furnished suites.
The project is designed for guests who want more than a traditional hotel stay, offering spacious living areas, kitchen facilities, dining spaces and lifestyle amenities that provide the comfort of home with the convenience of hospitality services.
Through the Mercure brand, guests will also enjoy experiences inspired by the local character of Genting Highlands, allowing visitors to connect with the destination’s culture, nature and unique surroundings.
According to Accor, the partnership reflects the growing demand for extended-stay accommodation as travellers increasingly seek flexible and comfortable options that suit modern lifestyles.
Tropicana also sees the collaboration as an important step in expanding its hospitality business while delivering greater value to homeowners through a globally recognised brand and professional management platform.
Mercure Living Genting Highlands will offer facilities including an all-day dining restaurant, executive lounge, multipurpose hall, heated swimming pool, fitness centre and various lifestyle spaces designed for residents and guests.
The development is expected to further strengthen Genting Highlands’ position as one of Malaysia’s leading leisure destinations by combining hospitality, wellness and sustainable township living.
As part of Accor’s continued expansion in Malaysia, Mercure Living Genting Highlands adds another significant milestone to the group’s growing portfolio, bringing more opportunities for travellers and investors in the country.
